Grunty Contest: Who knows where?

grunty1

come to Guías WoW a new contest to win one of the gruntys that we have left!

This time it is a contest about images taken within the game, of which you will have to guess where they came from.

The mechanics are very simple so we will not put the bases of the contest in pdf or similar if not in this same article, with its frequently asked questions, as always.

How? Why? When? Where?

The story begins when Blizzard surprises us with five wonderful Gruntys adoption codes, with the illusion that we will distribute them among the community in the way we see fit. In this way the idea arises of holding several contests to distribute those gifts in the best possible way. This is the second contest that we organize, where we will distribute one of them.

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity and keep reading ...

How do I get it?

To get your Grunty you must participate in the contest that will be organized within the forum Guias WoW. Additionally, you must be a registered user of the website (Remember that the username for the forum is the same as the one on the website, so you don't have to create it twice).

The contest is based on distinguishing which place it is with a screenshot that we will put in the Grunty Contest forum threads: Who knows where? indicated for the occasion. In that forum we will be opening different threads with an image, you have that thread to answer and try to find out what place it is. Every day, at different times (so as not to benefit or harm any participant) we will include two new images.

The threads of the images will be closed 24 hours after the capture was posted, just 24 hours.

The Grunty will be awarded to the participant who has the most points at the end of the contest.

How do I get the points?

Let's take an image as an example:

Points are distributed as follows:

  • 2 points if you are the first to correctly answer the site from which the capture was taken (example: Dragon Cemetery).
  • 2 points if you are the first to indicate the exact location (example: Temple of the Dragon's Rest).
  • 1 point If you answer correctly to the site from which the capture was taken, even if you are not the first to answer (do not trust the previous answers, they may be wrong).
  • 1-3 points If you comment something about the lore of the place, of those who inhabit, inhabited or related to the place that is presented in the image (example: In this temple Krasus resides with his queen Alexstrasza. Like her, in human aspect she takes the form of a huge blood elf. Korialstrasz is the name Krasus takes when he takes the aspect of a dragon. It belongs to the Aspect of Red Flight). Depending on the quality or difficulty of the lore to be investigated, 1, 2 or even 3 points will be awarded. The answers that repeat what was already commented in previous answers will not receive points.

The points that each participant has will be made public every day in the ranking thread, until the end of the contest in which the winner will be announced.

How long does the contest last?

The first image will be uploaded tomorrow (Friday, December 4, 2009). From that thread, two daily threads will be updated, until Sunday, December 13, 2009, when the last two images will be published. The winner will be announced on Monday, December 14, 2009, in an article in the web page, a thread in the contest forum and a message by Twitter.

I have sent my email to register but I did not receive the confirmation message

We know that Hotmail users have problems receiving emails from our system, even so there are many users registered with Hotmail currently and have activated their account. Try not to use Hotmail accounts as much as possible. If you don't get it, try looking in the junk or spam folder.

Any questions you have will be answered in the forum's Questions and Answers thread of the contest.
