Aloha! Shaman's First Class Changes in Shadowlands Alpha. Please note that these are the first non-fixed changes and will not be final until the release of the expansion.
Shaman Class Changes in Alpha Shadowlands
General changes
- Added Searing Totem, Chain Heal, Chain Lightning, Healing Stream Totem, Flame Tongue Weapon, Flame Shock, Frost Shock, and Lightning Shield as base abilities to all specs.
- Elemental and Enhancement no longer use Maelstrom.
Elemental
- Added Fulminate passive (Bolt and Chain Lightning have a chance to grant Fulminate charges which will cause Earth Shock to deal extra damage based on the number of charges).
- Earthquake skill redesigned (every time Chain Lightning extra jumps its cooldown is reduced).
- Elemental Blast talent redesigned (now enhanced by Fulmination charges).
- Aftershock talent redesigned (now no longer consumes charges of Fulmination or Seismic Thunder).
- Icefury talent redesigned (no longer generates resources).
- Removed the Call to the Storm talent instead Echoing Bolt (damages the target and doubles the next damage or healing spell you cast for free and instant).
Constant improvement
- Tongue of Fire skill removed.
- Windfury passive removed.
- Added Windfury Weapon skill.
- Added Totem Windfury skill.
- Lava Lash ability redesigned (now has a cooldown).
- Maelstrom Weapon passive added (reduces stackable spell casting by 20%).
- Strong Winds talent redesigned (now 50% bonus).
- Hot Hand talent redesigned (now triggers at 5% and reduces the cooldown of Lava Lash by 75%).
- Added the Elemental Blast talent.
- Searing Assault talent redesigned (damages target, increases Searing Totem's attack speed, and reduces the cooldown of Flame Shock).
- Hailstorm talent redesigned (Stormstrike resets collision cooldowns).
- Overload talent redesigned (Gain 5 Maelstrom Weapon charges and 1 more every 1 sec for 10 sec).
- Removed the Fury of Air talent, instead Storm Guard (your next 2 Bolts or Chains of Lightning are instant and do more damage).
Restaurants
- Added the Water Shield skill.
- Added the talent as a base skill Earth Shield.
- Added Totem Mana Tide skill.
- Added the Earth Flurry talent (consumes 3 charges of Earth Shield to heal 6 allies).
- High Tide talent redesigned (now 10% bonus).
