Regarding the large amount of comments and discussions, we are working on an update to the game. With the next weekly maintenance scheduled in each region, Players who have obtained a Rank 3 Essence on a character can directly obtain that Mother's Essence with any other character on your account.
When playing as a character lacking Essences that have already been earned on a different character, most Visions of N'Zoth activities such as Horrifying Visions, Raids, Raid Bosses, Cornerstone Mythics, or Season 4 PVP from BFA, will award a new Soulbound Coin: Echoes of Ny'alotha. These echoes can be brought to MOTHER in the Chamber of Heart and exchanged for Rank 3 Essences. While each specific Essence must normally be learned to unlock for other characters through MOTHER, all Essences associated with Nazjatar and Mechagon reputations will be available if any other character has earned any of the Essences of that reputation.
Our goal with this update is to preserve the efforts players put into unlocking Essences through associated activities the first time around, while giving other characters much more flexibility to achieve that goal. We will have additional details in an upcoming update to be released at the same time as maintenance, but we wanted to inform the community as soon as possible that this change is underway.
