The traitorous sire Denathrius has been defeated ... but the power of the Maw continues to grow. On Chains of Domination, the first major content update for World of Warcraft: ShadowlandsPlayers will reach the most remote corners of the Jailer's doomed domain to try to uncover the true nature of his evil plans. Thanks to the renewed power of the four curiae, the champions of the Horde and the Alliance will lead the fight for the Shadowlands to the Jailer's center of power. Yet the Outcast has a terrifying new weapon: a cruel instrument of despair recruited by Sylvanas Windrunner and capable of striking the hearts of Azeroth's heroes like no other creature in the Shadowlands.
THE CURIAS FIGHT BACK
Return to the Maw as the Kyrians, Night Sylphs, Necromancers, and Venthyr have regained their strength to embark on a campaign that will unite the four and allow them to launch a joint attack against the Jailer. By unveiling the Jailer's dark designs, you can call on a new inner strength to fight and even use your mounts again in this dark realm.
DISCOVER THE MYSTERIES OF KORTHIA
The Jailer seeks the key to fulfill his perverse vision for the afterlife and, for this, he has brought to Las Maw a piece of a forgotten place. Search for answers in a new area, ancient Korthia, and take part in new missions and outside activities. This landmass torn from the Middle Zone is home to its own strange creatures and is full of mysteries untold in the Shadowlands. It is precisely these enigmas that the Jailer seeks: the secrets of an intriguing group known as "the First."
During your adventures in Korthia and the Maw, you will be able to obtain new rewards, such as a horse in Jawsworn armor or a severed hand that serves as a mount.
ASSAULT THE SAGRARY OF DOMINATION
Face the uncharted and treacherous confines of Torghast in a new band of 10 bosses: the Sanctum of Domination. Encounter the true Gaze of the Jailer, turn the tables against the Terratroz, battle Kel'Thuzad and stand up to the Banshee Queen herself in a fateful showdown.
NEW MEGAMAZMORRA: TAZAVESH, THE VEILED MARKET
Assemble your party and discover exotic items and strange creatures in the new mythical 8 boss mega-dungeon: Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. In this bazaar of mysterious Speculators, you will come face to face with vile assassins, four-armed guardians, an infinite pirate dragon and other enemies as you try to hunt down a wayward speculator before she can harness the power of a stolen artifact to lead carry out your plans.
Available only on Mythic difficulty, players will be able to obtain loot coveted by the Speculator society, including a dizzying number of weapons, supernatural pets, and a mount in this instance.
EXPLORE NEW AREAS OF TORGHAST, TOWER OF THE DAMNED
By taking the battle to the Jailer's territory, we can delve even further into his lair: Torghast, Tower of the Damned. Register a never-before-seen wing of Torghast as you battle new foes and avoid deadly traps with a host of game-changing powers.
LIFT THE FLIGHT
If you have your eye on the skies of the Shadowlands, you can now unlock flight by completing Curia activities and campaign chapters. Players who do so will receive a specialized mount representing their curia. Kyrians will fly over the colorful fields on the backs of Centurians, night sylphs will ride the mighty lupine worms of Ardenweald, necrolines will engage on fly-corpses, and Venthyr will conquer the skies with newly awakened natstone.
NEW COSMETIC ARMOR SETS OF THE CURIAS
As you continue to support your curia and gain renown, you will receive a new cosmetic set of armor. This set will be available in four colors and will be compatible with any type of armor: cloth, leather, mail or plates. The tints of each armor set can be combined with the others to have a wide variety of possibilities and to match the appearance you want.
JOIN THE BATTLE IN SEASON 2
Chains of Domination it will also mark the beginning of Season 2. You will find a new affix inspired by the theme of "domination" in the dungeons of Mythic Keystone and higher item level rewards. We're tweaking PvP Honor talents to revitalize less popular ones, so you have more options to unleash your full potential. New seasonal PvP rewards will include new Gladiator and Mythic Keystone mount colors, as well as vicious new mounts: Horde and Alliance-themed gorms.
