Ardenweald

Ardenweald, an afterlife in perpetual decline for those connected to nature, is a realm of restoration guarded by mystical nocturnal sylphs. In this eternal forest, the gigantic dream trees absorb the precious anima (the essence of souls that flows through the Shadowlands) to feed the spirits of nature that wait to be reborn in the cycle. [MORE INFORMATION]

Revendreth

Revendreth is made up of seven different districts, each presided over by a Harvester, a member of a college of powerful Venthyr who have defended the customs of this place since its inception to encourage the spirits to repent of their sins. Those who succeed in reforming are presented with a choice: return to Oribos to go to another beyond, or remain in Revendreth to become a venthyr. Exile to the Maw awaits those who resist redemption. [MORE INFORMATION]

The jaws

To be thrown into the Maw is to be condemned to an eternity of desolation. In this stormy and hopeless place the most evil souls in the cosmos are imprisoned and tormented forever. If the ancient evil that dwells in this prison were to break free, it would consume all of reality. [MORE INFORMATION]

Eight new dungeons

In your adventures through the new areas to reach the maximum level (60) you can visit four dungeons.

The Necrotic Stele (Level 51+)

In an act of inconceivable perfidy, the troops of Maldraxxus, the kingdom charged with defending the Shadowlands, have invaded the Temple of Courage. They have looted anima and slaughtered Kyrians to fuel their dark practices. Left unchecked, the necrotic forces in the Zolramus necropolis will plunder Bastion, leaving only destruction in their wake.

Low plague (Level 53+)

Beneath the ruins of the House of Plagues lies one of the most destructive forces in Maldraxxus history. Those who crave this power search the plague-infested rubble in a race to seize this weapon. Whoever wins the award will have the fate of the Shadowlands in their hands.

Mists of Tirna Scithe (Level 55+)

The sylphs have always diligently guarded the lush grove of Tirna Scithe, a sacred place that is said to hold ancient secrets. Legend has it that unsuspecting travelers could be lost forever along its countless misty roads. But as the drought shrinks Ardenweald's forests, his enemies seek to steal the powerful magic of the grove. Even the natives, driven by hunger and despair, consume what the Winter Queen cherishes most.

Halls of Atonement (Level 57+)

Under the accuser, the Halls of Atonement honored Revendreth's mission. Echoes of suffering and sin resounded in them, but always in order to redeem souls and prevent them from falling into the Maw. However, the newly elevated Lord Chamberlain has perverted the function of the halls to selfishly harvest anima, to the point of leaving many souls without the possibility of redemption. Someone must end the depravity that has settled within these walls.

Upon reaching level 60, there will be four more dungeons that you can explore to obtain treasures.

Theater of Pain

In Maldraxxus you must constantly put yourself to the test and prove that you are the best person to defend the Shadowlands. The best place to prove your worth is the Theater of Pain. There they face multitudes of contenders hoping to stand up to one of the champions. Brutality! Chaos! Violence! And of course, pain! Only the strongest become the leaders of their houses, and only one can be the strongest.

The other side

Bwonsamdi keeps a secret place in the Shadowlands that he calls The Other Side. When the dead began to arrive in the Maw, Bwonsamdi hid several souls in his little domain and kept his trolling followers safe. But in doing so, he broke an old deal with Mueh'zala, and the ancient loa has come to harvest those souls and to liquidate their protector. Bwonsamdi is going to need help collecting his other deals if he is to survive this attack and protect the souls in his domain.

Capitals of the Ascension

Lying amid the clouds, the pinnacle of Kyrian ideals, the Ascension Needles are the center of the Archon's power. The sovereign of Bastion, undisputed for eons, has always embodied the virtues of duty and service. But now that drought and instability fractures the Ascended belief system, the Archon's reign is in unimaginable danger, as one of her most trusted followers has fallen under the sway of darkest evil.

Blood Backgrounds

Beneath Nathria Castle are the Sanguine Caverns, a prison created by the sire Denathrius to house the most scheming dissidents. Here he locks up inmates for eons, and extracts their anima to research and study. The Sin Leap resistance knows of a particular prisoner who could help them tip the balance in their favor in the fight against the sire Denathrius, and they request help to get him out.

Nathria Castle Band

Infiltrate through the barred walls of Nathria Castle, a band of 10 bosses located in the shadowy realm of Revendreth. Face immeasurable terrors in a race to unravel a sinister plot and save these lands from a dark and twisted future. [MORE INFORMATION]

Inspired by dungeon games and designed for maximum replayability, it will allow players to explore ever-changing rooms and chambers as they battle the minions of the Jailer, their vile ruler.
