Rise of Azshara content update notes

Notes

Hello guys. We bring you the content update notes for the new patch Rise of Azshara that will come to us on June 26.

Content update notes

New zone: Nazjatar

During a fast-paced chase across the seas, Alliance and Horde troops will be ambushed by an ancient enemy that has been lurking in the deep: Queen Azshara and her fearsome Naga army. The naval forces of both factions will be destroyed during the attack and the survivors will be isolated in Nazjatar, the ancestral home of the Naga.

Shortly after arriving in Nazjatar, the heroes of the Alliance will encounter the Ankoan Tideblade, a new faction of warriors from the deep, while the heroes of the Horde will discover the Unchained, a multi-racial group that has managed to escape from the claws of the naga. Both sides have champions who will offer their services as combat allies, rising in power over time as players prepare for the epic showdown against Queen Azshara.

Level 120 adventurers who have unlocked the Battle for Azeroth world quests and complete the quest "Binding of Kul Tiras" or "Binding of Zandalar" will be summoned by Genn Greymane or Nathanos Blightcaller to initiate the events that will lead to them. to Nazjatar.

Benthic equipment

Increase your power with Benthic Gear, a new type of upgradeable armor that can be obtained in Nazjatar. As you explore this new area, you will collect Prismatic Mana Pearls, a soul-bound currency that you can spend to purchase tokens and benthic upgrades. These account-bound tokens can be used to purchase an upgradeable benthic piece of equipment corresponding to your armor type (cloth, leather, mail, plate) at item level 385 or higher. After spending the time and effort, players will be able to use their mana pearls to raise pieces to item level 425 to bring them almost to the level of Heroic Raid equipment (430). Each piece of benthic gear harnesses the power of the sea to grant a thematic bonus that triggers on Nazjatar and the upcoming Eternal Palace of Azshara raid. These bonuses can bring effects that will improve your damage, slow your opponents, or even increase your mount speed as you traverse this dangerous region. Put pieces together to create a powerful combat set, assemble a set optimized for exploration, or combine them to take advantage of all the advantages.

Prismatic Mana Pearls

By defeating powerful enemies, completing quests, and looting the treasures of Azshara's minions, you can obtain prismatic mana pearls, concentrations of magical energy highly valued by the people of Nazjatar. Use this new currency to obtain many different items in the new area such as tokens and benthic upgrades, pets or a mount. Prismatic Mana Pearls can be earned through a wide range of activities including completing World Quests and Daily Quests, looting treasure chests, and eliminating rare enemies.

New Zone: Mechagon Island

Legends say that there is a place far off the rugged shores of Kul Tiras whose inhabitants have screws and tin instead of blood and bones. It is Mechagon, the center of a society of mechanically enhanced gnomes ruled with an iron fist by King Mechagon. Heroes who reach the shores of Mechagon will meet with Prince Erazmin and the Rustbolt Resistance and, after completing a series of missions related to this faction, join forces to overthrow Erazmin's tyrannical father and put an end to his evil plans.

Players will be able to increase their powers and gain the trust of their new allies by completing the new daily missions and other unique activities in Mechagon. These activities include collective construction projects that allow players to contribute resources to create a wide range of powerful constructs, experimental weapons, flamethrower turrets, and a drill that can blast its way into a treasure-filled cave, among many other things.

After establishing a base in Nazjatar and upgrading the Heart of Azeroth, players will embark for Mechagon by starting the mission "The Legend of Mechagon." Players of the Alliance will be able to accept it in Boralus and those of the Horde, in Dazar'alor, near the flight master of each city.

Junkyard handyman

While touring the site, players will have access to Pascal-R3Y, a giant iron robot that will help them forge equipment, mounts, toys, consumables, and much more in exchange for spare parts and power cells found around all of Mechagon. Recipes can be found to forge more items around the island.

Pocket computing device

The pocket counting device is a trinket that players can customize with three red, yellow and blue punch card slots. Punch Cards can be earned by completing quests, exploring Mechagon, and completing the new Mythic dungeon Operation: Mechagon. Players will receive the Pocket Computing Device after completing the "Enhanced" mission, which will be available shortly after arriving in Mechagon.

New Raid: Azshara's Eternal Palace

Take on Nazjatar's mightiest champions, unspeakable monstrosities from the deep, and ultimately the legendary Queen Azshara in this massive 8-boss raid.

You have more information about the bosses that protect the Eternal Palace of Azshara here.

The Eternal Palace of Azshara normal and heroic difficulties will open on July 9, two weeks after the release of Rise of Azshara on June 25. Raid Finder Wing One and Mythic Difficulty will be available the following week, July 16.

New Dungeon: Operation: Mechagon

Level 120 players will join forces with Prince Erazmin and the Rustbolt Resistance to overthrow their deranged father and destroy the apocalyptic mecha-originating device in this new 8-boss "mega-dungeon." This instance, available only on Mythic difficulty, will open to players who complete the new missions related to Rustbolt Resistance. Great rewards await you in Mechagon, but keep in mind that loot forged by gnomes can have some unexpected properties ...

Operation: Mechagon will be available to players when Season 3 begins, on July 9, and after accepting the mission “Operation: Mechagon: The Mecha-originator”.

Heart of Azeroth System Update: Essences

Infuse the Heart of Azeroth with the power of the Titans with essences. These powerful active and passive abilities allow you to customize your playstyle in a whole new way. Each essence contains a major power (usually a new active ability) and a minor power (always passive). The Heart of Azeroth has slots for a major and two minor essences. Place an essence in the main one to activate both its main and minor powers, and place up to two essences in the minor slots to activate their respective minor powers. Adapt yourself to get out of any situation and apply or change them in rest areas, in cities or when using objects like the volume of the silent mind.

Your power will increase each time you unlock one of the four ranks of each essence. Rank 1 activates the main effect and minor effects of an essence, while rank 2 and 3 enhance these effects. The 4 adds a striking cosmetic effect to the main power of the essence to visually highlight the wearer. Earn Essences by completing specific activities such as PVP, raids, or world quests. Some essences are unique to one role (DPS, tank, or healer), and others can be used by anyone. Once an essence has been acquired, hover over it in the user interface to see information about the next rank and how to get it.

Players must complete a new quest chain and unlock the Heart Forge in order to infuse the Heart of Azeroth with essences. When they do, they will unlock the main slot and receive their first essence. The two minor slots will be available at Heart of Azeroth levels 55 and 65, respectively. Unlocking the Heart Forge will raise the Heart of Azeroth to level 35 for players who have not yet reached it.

Level 120 players who have established their new headquarters in Nazjatar will receive an invitation to meet Magni in the Chamber of Heart in Silithus, where they will begin a new quest chain starting with the mission "Essential Empowerment" to unlock the Forge of the Heart.

Mount equipment

Have you ever wished that your favorite mount could take you over the water without sinking? Use the mount gear with most of them to increase their speed, avoid the Dazed state, attach a parachute, or walk on water! Upon reaching level 100 with a character, a new mount gear slot will appear in the mount interface for all of your characters. Enchanters, Tailors, and Furriers can make mount gear, which can also be purchased from the auction house or from the craftsmen themselves. Players with water strider mounts will receive a free piece of mount gear in their mailbox that will allow them to walk on water.

Note that mounts do not benefit from gear on battlefields or arenas, and some, such as the air golem, do not at all.

New missions

There are a multitude of new stories and adventures available for Azeroth.

Magni Bronzebeard

Mysterious magics have sprung up across Azeroth. Among them are the essences of the five Flights, which Magni Bronzebeard believes can unlock the full potential of the Heart of Azeroth. Players at level 120 would do well to heed Magni's request to continue the story and obtain the First Essence, as he grants a powerful new ability appropriate to or compatible with the character's role (DPS, Healer, or Tank).

War Campaign: Execution Postponed

Upon learning of Sylvanas' plans to execute Baine Bloodhoof for treason, the Alliance and Horde send strike teams to infiltrate the Kor'kron headquarters and rescue the noble Tauren chieftain. During the mission they will run into a former orc ally.

The new episode of the War Campaign is available to level 120 players who have completed the previous chapters and the mission "Clearing Caches". Speak to Lady Jaina Proudmoore or Lor'themar in Nazjatar to begin this dangerous mission.

New dynastic gnome and tauren armor

Delve deep into the background of the gnomes and tauren and unlock the dynastic armor, a reflection of their legacies. Level 120 tauren or gnome players who have reached Exalted level with their faction (Thunder Bluff or Gnomeregan, respectively) will be able to embark on a quest chain that explores the history of their respective races. Upon completion, they will earn a new dynastic armor transmog set that can be worn by all of their characters of the same race.

Eligible gnomes and tauren can begin the quest by speaking to their race's ambassador at the Stormwind or Orgrimmar embassy (depending on the faction). Players who want the dynastic armor of the tauren will also need to free Baine in the War Campaign Mission "Execution Postponed" (with any character on the account) before beginning the quest chain.

New Epic Battleground: Ashran

The ruins of Ashran, the former seat of a mighty ogre empire, are home to sacred artifacts of great power that could change the course of war. Return to Draenor and fight in a familiar setting on the new epic 40v40 battlefield: Ashran.

Starting at level 100, players can engage the enemy faction on Ashran's main causeway to try to reach the rival stronghold. After killing 700 enemy reinforcements or successfully invading their stronghold, they can face their leader, Grand Marshal Tremblade (Alliance) or High Warlord Volrath (Horde). Collect Ancient Artifacts, Artifact Shards, Class Spellbooks, and other items to increase your chances of victory. Artifact Fragments found on the bodies of fallen enemies will allow you to summon elite allies, such as Fangraal and Kronus, to lead your faction's attack.

You can queue for Ashran in the Epic Battlegrounds section of the Party Finder (default shortcut: i).

New island expeditions

Weigh anchor and discover two new islands: Catacrest and Snowflower Village. There, new loot awaits you such as armor, weapons and pets, although be careful, you will not be alone. There will be enemies of the opposing faction, willing to take everything. Kill them!

New missions and mechanics

New missions and troops

As you fight on the high seas, your loyal followers will stand by you at all times. You can now recruit ship captains and other veteran sailors to fight for your cause.

Holiday and event missions

Assign your followers the new Holiday and Event themed missions. The loot includes special coins that can be spent during festivities and events such as the Brewfest and Timewalking, as well as rewards that can only be obtained during those periods.

Fly in Kul Tiras and Zandalar

The unreachable skies of Kul Tiras and Zandalar will soon open up for heroes eager to take flight. The achievement "Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part 2" will allow the most fearless adventurers to take to the skies in Battle for Azeroth zones, including the new ones, Mechagon and Nazjatar. To do this, seasoned adventurers must achieve Revered reputation with the Rustbolt Resistance and their new Nazjatar allies (the Tideblade Ankoan or the Unchained), explore Mechagon and Nazjatar, and complete Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part 1 », The first part of the meta-achievement.

Those who complete these requirements and unlock the ability to fly will also receive a new mount, the mechanical parrot named Alaportentosa 2.0.

Mounts

Pick up a variety of new aquatic and mechanical mounts and ride through Nazjatar and Mechagon in style. Six of them appear below, but there are even more!

Swollen Stripe Azsh'ari

The naga bred these rays in captivity and extracted their gaseous organs to make alchemical substances that allowed them to breathe the air more easily. Players will salvage one and use it as a personal mount after earning the "Glory of the Palace Raider" achievement.

Crimson Tidal Stallion

These lively, blood-colored creatures glide gracefully through the water and transport heroes swiftly across the sea. Crimson Tidal Stallions can be purchased from Nazjatar's Murloc Merchant Mrrl for various eclectic items after completing the mission "A Safer Place".

Royal snapdragon

These blue, fierce, and loyal companions are caught in the wild at a young age, and bred to serve naga hunters. You can get yours by opening Ankoan Supplies or Unchained Supplies.

Mechanocat X-995

Handcrafted by junkyards, these robotic cats can be painted in various colors that players can collect on their adventures in Mechagon.

Scrap Forged Mecara

Planetary conscious players who complete the Rustbolt Recycler missions in Rustbolt will earn this mount.

Meccacycle model W

This mechanical marvel represents the zenith of the supercharged urban development of mechagnome transport. With unrivaled aerodynamic performance, this rolling wonder will be the reward for those players who complete the "Mecha Triumph" achievement.

Pet battles

A new challenge awaits your army of fierce little companions in Rise of Azshara.

Pet Battle Dungeon: Stratholme

Now is the time to organize your beasts and put your best battle pets to the test in the halls of Stratholme, a new pet battle dungeon with normal and challenging difficulties. Those who prove themselves on normal difficulty will earn an ultimate duel training stone. Those who complete the dungeon on Challenge difficulty will earn the achievement "Pet Battle Challenge: Stratholme" and the minimal pet. To start your adventure, you will need to have earned the achievement "Bigger and Naughty!" (have a pet at level 25) if you want to try the challenge on normal difficulty, or "Group of professional pets" (15 pets at level 25) to do it on the challenge difficulty. To begin your adventure, seek out Tizzy Joker in Boralus or Radek Leadlock in Dazar'alor.

Brawler's Brotherhood

  • The Weird Thing encounter is now more affordable.

Classes

  • Death Knight
    • Frost
      • Runic Empowerment has a 2% chance to activate for each point of runic power spent (was 1,5%).
      • Headgear now reduces the cooldown of Pillar of Frost by 2 seconds (was 1 second).
      • Frost Fever Runic Power chance increased to 30%.
        • This probability decreases for each enemy from the first.
      • Frost Strike damage increased by 15%.
      • Sindragosa's Breath damage reduced by 10%.
      • Breath of Sindragosa now generates 2 runes when cast, and another 2 when the effect is dispelled.
      • Breath of Sindragosa costs 16. runic power per second (was 15).
        • Developer Comments: Frost ran out of resources too often, especially when using Breath of Sindragosa. This change increases his base rune generation, as well as giving him many more runes while Breath of Sindragosa is active. Builds around this ability will now be able to fill more global cooldowns with Ravage to compensate for Frost Strikes not being cast. The cost of Breath of Sindragosa has also been increased so that its overall duration remains largely unchanged.
    • Profane
      • Festering Strike, Scourge Strike, Festering Wound, Death Coil, and Rending Shadows damage increased by 15%.
      • Army of the Dead ghoul damage increased by 6%.
        • Developer Comments: Previously, a bug allowed the energy of Army of the Dead ghouls to benefit from double haste. To compensate for the effects of the bug fix, we've increased its damage.
  • Demon Hunter
    • Devastation
      • Mastery: Demon Presence damage bonus increased by 20%.
      • Chaos Strike and Trail of Ruin damage reduced by 4%.
        • Developer Comments: Mastery was previously relatively weak compared to other secondary stats. By increasing its effect for Devastation, it will become a more interesting stat on your team. To balance out this upcoming damage increase, we have slightly reduced the damage of Chaos Strike and Trail of Ruin.
    • Revenge
      • Demonic Wards damage reduction increased to 15% (was 10%).
      • Demon Shields armor bonus increased to 100% (was 80%).
      • Armor granted by Demon Spikes reduced to 60% Agility (was 85%).
      • Soul Slash damage increased by 40%.
        • Developer Comments: Compared to other tanks, Vengeance demon hunters have more trouble reducing damage taken when active mitigation is not available. These tweaks add a significant increase to physical damage mitigation when the Demon Spikes ability is not active and a barely noticeable improvement when it is. Additionally, the changes include an overall passive reduction of magic damage. Generally speaking, the amount of extended damage the Vengeance specialization will take will be less, and the moments of greatest vulnerability, when Demon Spikes are not active, should be less accentuated.
      • Metamorphosis
        • Increase armor by 200% (was 100%).
        • Now the health bonus is 50% (was 30%).
        • Now causes Split to generate 20. additional Pain and 1 additional Lesser Soul Fragment (was 7 Pain per second).
          • Developer Comments: This change significantly increases the health bonus, damage mitigation and self-healing potential of Metamorphosis, as well as the health improvement, making it a more reliable cooldown against all types Of damage.
  • Druid
    • Soothe, Remove Corruption, Moonfire, and Reborn can no longer be cast in Cat Form or Bear Form by default.
    • Now the druids Feral They have a passive that is learned at level 22 and can cast Remove Corruption and Calm in cat form.
    • Now the druids Guardian They have a passive that is learned at level 10 and allows you to cast Soothe, Remove Corruption, Moonfire, and Reborn in bear form.
      • Developer Comments: The Guardian Druid has a limited ability to use support abilities while tank, and we're loosening that restriction by allowing it to cast Remove Corruption in bear form. We're also tweaking the rules regarding druid shapeshifting: the use of spells of a magical nature on Feral Forms will be allowed through passive upgrades on the Guardian and Feral specs. This tweak represents mastery in the handling of their main forms, allowing for spellcasting with limitations, and from a gameplay perspective, it assumes that these types of druids can use spells while they are transformed and a practical situation occurs. that requires it. On the other hand, there are situations in which there is no justification by background or does not respond to a need for gameplay, so the casting of spells can be more restrictive. For example, Druids other than the Guardian spec will no longer be able to cast Moonfire in bear form.
    • Guardian
      • Iron Fur now has a maximum of 8 stacks.
      • Iron Fur and Maul now cost 40. of rage (instead of 45 p.).
      • Mangle now generates 10. of anger (instead of 8 of anger).
        • Developer Comments: Iron Fur is intended to maintain high uptime (up to 100%) and uses overlap from time to time. Right now, based on talent builds, Druids are barely able to maintain a high uptime with this ability. Making Iron Fur available much more frequently should provide greater control over timing and overlap, as well as granting an improvement to the Guardian Druid's overall damage mitigation.
      • Switching to bear form now grants 25. Rage (was 20 Rage).
        • Developer Comments: It should now be much easier to activate the first Iron Fur beforehand after attacking an enemy thanks to the increased initial rage and its reduced cost.
      • Mangle and Thrash direct damage increased by 15%.
      • Crazed Regeneration Rank 3 is learned at level 85.
      • Crazed Regeneration healing increased by 33%.
    • Restaurants
      • Casting Overgrowth while Soul of the Forest is active now increases the healing of Overgrowth Rejuvenation, instead of the healing effect of Regrowth Over Time.
  • Hunter
    • Horridon is now tameable for hunters of any specialization.
    • Beasts
      • Oondasta is now tameable to Beast Hunters.
      • Barbed Shot damage is now affected by Wrath of the Beasts.
      • Barbed Shot damage reduced by 10%.
        • Developer Comments: We've fixed an issue where Wrath of the Beasts was not affecting Barbed Shot's damage, and we've also lowered Barbed Shot's base damage so the overall damage doesn't change too much.
    • Survival
      • Mastery: Binding of Spirit damage bonus increased by 20%.
        • Developer Comments: Mastery was previously relatively weak compared to other secondary stats. By increasing its effect for Survival, it will become a more interesting stat on your team.
  • Wizard
    • Frost
      • Mastery: Icicles damage bonus increased by 15%.
      • Glacial Spike base damage reduced by 7%.
        • Developer Comments: Mastery was previously relatively weak compared to other secondary stats. By increasing its effect on Frost, it will become a more interesting stat on your team. To balance out this upcoming damage increase, we've slightly reduced Glacial Spike's damage.
  • Priest
    • Shade
      • Auspicious Spirits now increases Shadow Apparition damage by 50%.
      • Shadow Word: Pain damage reduced by 9%.
      • Vampiric Touch damage reduced by 9%.
        • We consider that specs that maintain a variety of damage spells over time should generally deal more damage in multi-target encounters than single-target specs. In addition to evaluating class specs against others, we must also balance them across content. Due to the types of Tides of Vengeance encounters, Shadow Priests were especially strong in some situations, and equally weak in some circumstances compared to damage-over-time specs. So we're removing the abilities that trigger Shadow Apparition, the overriding factor in making the Shadow much stronger than their counterparts.
  • Rogue
    • Outlaw
      • Keep a Cool Head (Azerite Trait) now stacks once whenever Steel Flurry deals damage (instead of for each target hit by Steel Flurry). Each stack now grants a 5% chance for Sinister Strike to trigger again (was 2%).
      • Developer Comments: In situations where there are large groups of enemies (especially in dungeons), Keeping a Cool Head delivered more damage than intended with a copy of this Azerite trait. This change still allows the trait to increase in power as you gain stacks, but the size of the party you are facing will not affect the damage dealt. This is an increase in damage against two targets, but a reduction against 3 or more.
  • Shaman
    • Constant improvement
      • The Magma Weapon buff from the Elemental Spirits talent now only modifies the Fire damage of your class abilities, instead of modifying all Fire damage dealt.
        • Developer Comments: With the addition of the new Azerite Essences in the Rise of Azshara content update (many of which deal Fire damage), we didn't want this talent to seem mandatory. Prior to this change, the Flame Wolf Spirit's Magma Weapon buff would have increased the damage dealt by various Azerite Essences. The Elemental Spirits buff is intended to increase class abilities, and will continue to do so after this change.
  • Guerrero
    • Weapons
      • Execute, Mortal Strike, Rend, and Slam damage increased by 6%.
      • Mastery: Deep Wounds damage bonus increased by 12%.
        • Developer Comments: Mastery was previously relatively weak compared to other secondary stats. By increasing its effect for Weapons, it will become a more interesting stat on your team.
    • Protection
      • Thunder Clap of Unstoppable Force damage reduced to 30% (was 100%).
        • Developer Comments: The Protection warrior's explosive damage during Avatar was extremely high for a tank. This talent added more damage than necessary, as it also reduced Thunderclap's cooldown, and complimented well with certain Azerite traits.

Dungeons and Raids

There are now multiple Mythic Keystone dungeons that grant varying amounts of Artifact Power based on their duration.

        • Rated Battlegrounds now grant 1050 AP (was 525).
        • Against All Adversity now grants 2000 AP (was 1000).
  • Team scale
    • Most item effects that deal damage or heal now progress based on a character's secondary stat (instead of a primary stat).
      • Developer Comments: We've made some technical changes to the leveling of the item's damage, heal, and shield item effects. The net result of these changes is that almost everyone in Battle for Azeroth is now moderately stronger. The difference is greater the higher the level of the object. Changes include Battle for Azeroth PvP dungeon items, raids, and rewards.
  • Heart of Azeroth
    • The Personal Absorb Azerite trait now absorbs 50% of damage taken for 20 seconds (was 100%). The total amount of damage absorbed by this trait has not changed.
    • Paladin
      • Sagrado
        • Brightness of Light's healing reduced by 15%.
          • Developer Comments: This talent build is far ahead of other Holy Paladin options (and other healers in some cases), so we've reduced it without changing the gameplay experience.
  • Players can now use underwater mounts ashore with budding deep coral in Nazjatar.
  • Sometimes a small clockwork key allows Pepe to dress up as a mechanical bird.
  • Some relics have been renamed to be more specific to each faction.

    • The Reinforcing Warhorn has been renamed the Dwarven Warhorn (Alliance) and the Orc Warhorn (Horde).

    • Developer Comments: This change does not affect players in an Assignment Party when queuing for activities such as Party Finder Dungeons or Island Expeditions.

Player vs. Player

  • Sand
    • Repairs to Tiger Peak have been completed, making it available as an arena map again.
    • Team colors have changed from gold and green to gold and purple.

  • Enlistment Bonus
    • Now grants 50% more Azerite Power for participating in Random and Epic Battlegrounds.
      • Developer Comments: Battlefield queue times get extremely long when one faction has more players in it than the other. When they exceed a certain threshold, Mercenary mode is enabled for the faction with longer times, and the enlistment bonus is available for the faction with less representation. The enlistment bonus will now increase the amount of Azerite Power gained from Random and Epic Battlegrounds by 50%.
  • Objects
    • In PvP, Void Stone's absorption capacity has been reduced by 30% for healers and 60% for non-healers.
    • In PvP, the absorption shield of the Diamond Refracting Prism has been reduced by 30% for tank specs and 60% for non-tank specs.
    • Abyss Speaker's Gauntlets absorb shield in PvP reduced by 80% (was 66%).
    • Deep Ocean Trident absorption shield reduced in PvP by 75% (was 50%).
    • Mind Thief's Supernatural Belt's healing and self-harm effect in PvP reduced by 50%.
      • Developer Comments: There were several Crucible of Storms raid items in Season 2 that had a significant influence on the PvP metagame. We thought that they could constitute a transcendental element in the heterogeneity of the gameplay, so that each season conveyed a slightly different feeling than the previous ones. Due to the nature of our PvP progression system, designed to make it easier for more players to access, the effects of these items will last longer than desired. Therefore, its effectiveness in the new patch will be reduced to favor the integration of the new items acquired in Season 3.
    • Alliance and Horde paragliding kits now have a more triumphant look.
    • All racial abilities that have the same cooldown as Honorable Medallion will now only display the corresponding information when the talent is selected.
  • Death Knight
    • Frost
      • Freezing Streak will no longer deal damage based on the target's (or caster's) maximum health.
      • Icy Streak now deals an additional percentage of rebound attack power to applicable targets (up to 9%).
      • Freezing Streak no longer fits into PvP talent restrictions on percentage of maximum health.
      • Freezing Streak can now critically strike and progress with increased damage mods (such as Mastery), in addition to benefiting from damage taken debuffs applied to the target.
        • Developer Comments: Chill Streak's damage will no longer be based on the target's maximum health, but instead on the Death Knight's attack power. This is intended to spread damage inflicted more evenly among targets regardless of their health.
    • Druid
      • Restaurants
        • Casting Overgrowth while Soul of the Forest is active now increases the healing of Overgrowth Rejuvenation, instead of the healing effect of Regrowth Over Time.
          • Developer Comments: Overgrowth applies to both Rejuvenation and Regrowth heal over time, but Soul of the Forest will only affect one of them. We're adjusting the interaction of these two spells to more closely match players' expectations for their synergy.
    • Monk
      • Brewmaster
        • Turbios now divides its damage among all enemies hit.
    • Paladin
      • Protection
        • Unlimited Freedom now grants the caster Blessing of Freedom when cast on a different target.
        • Unlimited Freedom now prevents Blessing of Freedom from dissipating when cast on the same target.
          • Developer Comments: Limitless Freedom is a talent based on a paladin's primary strength to empower his allies and is not delivering the intended results. By applying the Blessing of Freedom buff to both the paladin caster and his teammate, the spell becomes a powerful tool against enemy teams that rely on control and movement impairment effects.
      • Rebuke
        • Unlimited Freedom now grants Blessing of Freedom to the paladin when cast on another target.
    • Priest
      • Discipline
        • Mana regeneration is now reduced by 40% in PvP (was 45%).
        • Dome of Light reduces the cooldown of Power Word: Barrier by 90 seconds (was 60 seconds).
        • Dome of Light reduces damage taken by an additional 25% (was 45%).
        • Premonition now heals up to four friendly targets while Atonement is active (was all nearby friendly targets).
        • Premonition's healing radius increased to 40 yards (was 30 yards).
        • Premonition now heals for 55% of spell power (was 75%).
        • Premonition now deals the player 35% of spell power (was 46%).
        • Premonition increases the duration of Atonement on healed targets by 3 sec.
        • Trinity now increases Atonement healing transfer by 20% (was 12%).
        • Ultimate Radiance now increases the healing of Power Word: Radiance by 250% (was 200%).
          • Developer Comments: In Season 2, we reduced mana regeneration in PvP instances to increase the importance of mana management by healers in arenas and battlefields. Due to Discipline's healing style, specs tend to run out of mana in arenas much earlier than others. So we're improving mana regen in PvP and adjusting some of the corresponding talents in the same direction. Additionally, we are modifying Dome of Light so that it can be used more often, but with less damage reduction, so that they have another tool to recover after crowd control.
    • Shaman
      • Elemental
        • Lightning Lasso now deals 140% of spell power per pulse (was 8% of the target's maximum health).
        • Lightning Lasso now deals damage to creatures immune to stun.
    • Sorcerer
      • Affliction
        • Infinite Affliction no longer increases the duration of Unstable Affliction.
        • Infinite Affliction now leaves the target with a 10 second debuff after the last Unstable Affliction ends.
        • Dispel Infinite Affliction will silence the target, deal damage, and increase their damage taken by 10% while active.
        • Unstable Affliction will remove Infinite Affliction when cast on an active target.
        • A new aura icon will indicate to healers that a target has Infinite Affliction or Unstable Affliction active.
          • Developer Comments: With the Infinite Affliction Talent, we intend for the Warlock to have the option of taking longer dispel protections for both spells that deal damage over time and other debuffs on their equipment. The previous version caused a decrease in the frequency of damage dealt. We've split the bonus dispel protection into its own debuff, so this talent won't change the warlock's damage profile.
      • IU
        • The endgame marker in Battlegrounds and Arenas now has a new look and offers more information on player rewards.
