Corruption Forged Weapons and Legendary Cloak - Patch 8.3

Forged weapons

Hello guys. We bring you information about the new legendary cape and the weapons forged with corruption that we will be able to have with the release of patch 8.3 starting on January 15.

Legendary Cloak and Corruption Forged Weapons

The Old God N'Zoth has been released from the prison where the Titans confined him, and an ancient corruption has begun to take root in Azeroth. Heroes of the Horde and Alliance must repel the darkness by facing the armies of the Black Empire with a new legendary cloak and weapons forged with corruption.

All heroes wear capes

In order to protect your mind from N'Zoth, you will need an item steeped in pure corruption, and Wrathion, son of Deathwing, knows where to find it. Collaborate with Master Black Flight to craft and improve Ashjra'kamas, Veil of Resolution, a legendary cloak that has the power to preserve your sanity and avoid the influence of the old god.

By wearing this cloak, players will be able to venture further into the gruesome visions of N'Zoth, earn better rewards, and uncover the other mysteries of the ancient god's power. This cape will also be useful to face N'Zoth himself in the next raid.

Rank up your cape

Ashjra'kamas starts at Rank 1 with an item level of 470 and has little resistance to corruption, but subsequent ranks increase in power and add other unique effects. By equipping yourself with the cloak, you will instantly reduce the loss of sanity in horrifying visions. At rank 6, the cloak will gain a spell effect that dispels all effects of N'Zoth's corruption and makes the wearer immune to any other corruption effects for 6 seconds (with a 3-minute cooldown). At Rank 12, the cloak will also gain a passive Draconic Buff, allowing your spells and abilities to significantly increase your primary stat.

Once Ashjra'kamas, Veil of Resolution, reaches Rank 15, you can start acquiring Maleficent Cores, increasing your resistance to Corruption by 3, up to a maximum of 125. You can get one Maleficent Core per week and there are different ways to do so, such as defeating N'Zoth on Ny'alotha (Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty) or completing all the objectives of a horrifying vision.

Legendary weapons
As you cleanse the corruption of the cloak, its appearance will become more immaculate and titanic.

Top-level players who have unlocked the Heart Forge will be able to accept a new quest, "An Unwelcome Advisor" (Alliance) or "Return of the Black Prince" (Horde), and begin progressing through the story this new provides. legendary cape.

Harness the power of the Void

Turn the dark power of N'Zoth against him with weapons and armor infused with corruption, a new item feature that grants powerful favors (with potentially deadly consequences). Find a way to counter these effects or accept its power and learn to live with madness.

Corrupted items, desecrated by N'Zoth, offer exceptional power for a price. The more you put on, the more damage your spells will deal or the more powerful your heals will be, but the corruption will begin to affect you in increasingly dangerous ways. At low levels of Corruption, the damage you take may periodically slow you down, while at higher levels, the evil forces of the Void can attack you at any time.

Deciding how much corruption you can take on is a delicate decision, but don't forget that you can mitigate it with your new Legendary Cloak and new Essences. By equipping yourself with these items, you can nullify some of the corruption and benefit from the power of N'Zoth with less hassle.

Forged weapons
Your character will ooze the corruption that you do not mitigate.

TIP: You can choose to remove Corruption from your items through Titanic Purification, which will cost you multiple Corrupted Memories (obtained from killing enemies in the Horrifying New Visions). However, by doing so, your item will also lose the positive effect.

Here are a couple of corruption effects that can appear on players' gear.

Indescribable truth

Your spells and abilities can show you Unspeakable Truth, increasing cooldown recovery speed by 50% for 10 seconds.

Twilight Devastation

Your attacks can trigger a beam of Twilight Devastation, dealing damage equal to 5% of your health to all enemies in front.

Eye for an Eye

Your gear can be further upgraded with an Eye of N'Zoth plucked out, allowing you to add a prismatic slot to a piece of gear. This consumable is sold by Wrathion in the Chamber of Heart in exchange for corrupted souvenirs.

Purify your world

Prepare to collect Corrupted Gear and obtain the Legendary Cloak in the Content Update Visions of N'Zoth, available January 15.
