First contact with the Battle.net Real ID in the 3.5 PTR

As we discussed at the time, Patch 3.3.5 would bring the Battle.net real ID integration to World of Warcraft. Now that the Trial Realms are ready to enter, some have been able to start playing with the new Real ID features. Mendiola, the happiest reporter @, has left us a few captures in the minichat.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about and Real ID sounds like Chinese to you, you may be interested in reading this tiny summary. Now you can keep in touch with your friends who play any blizzard game that has Battle.net 2.0: Diablo III, Starcraft II and / or World of Warcraft. You will be able to communicate with them in a format that will sound familiar to you if you are used to the most popular social networks regardless of the game they are playing, their faction or kingdom. However, it is not recommended that you provide your real ID to everyone you know as you would be providing them with your Battle.net email.

It is possible that we will still see improvements to the system since it is still in the development phase and there are surely bugs in the system.

Thanks to Mendiola for the images that you can see below!

Have you had the opportunity to try it?
