The quest for guild has always been in Blizzard's focus. At BlizzCon 2009, there was talk of introducing this feature with Cataclysm, although it seems that it finally couldn't be on time.
Hopefully this new feature will appear in the Patch 4.1 and, if you have read the patch notes, you will have seen what is to come. This new tool is quite similar to the current dungeon finder and will allow players to set certain criteria to find a guild that suits their needs. Although there are not too many details yet, we did get a few preliminary screenshots of what the tool looks like right now in the Public Realms.
