New version of patch 3.3 (10554)

Tonight a new version of Patch 3.3 has been activated in the Public Test Realms. Specifically, it is version 10554 of this patch and the patch notes have been updated.

  • Icecrown Citadel
    • The Forge of Souls can now be tested in the 5-player dungeon.
    • Additional content from the Icecrown Citadel raid and dungeon will be playable in future trials. For more information and to consult the test program visit our forum Trial Realms.
  • The current / denial emotion is now called / welcome and greets the targets (the character says "hello"), while the new / dn is used to say "you're welcome."
  • Many of the Tail Sweeps with knockdown effects will no longer hit players' pets.

Classes: General

  • AoE Damage Cap: Redesigned the way AoE damage is capped when hitting multiple targets. Instead of a strict cap on the total damage dealt, the cap will be an amount equal to the damage the spell would deal if it hit 10 targets. In other words, if the spell deals 1000 points of damage to each target, it would hit up to 10 of these for 1000 points each, however, with more than 10 targets, each would take 1000 points of damage divided by the number of targets. . For example, 20 targets would take 500 points of damage each.
  • Pet Resilience: All combat pets receive 100% resilience from their masters.
  • Taunt Effectiveness Decrease: We have revised the effectiveness decrease system so that creatures will not become immune to taunts until 5 of them have been successful. The duration of the effect will be reduced by 35% instead of 50% each time a taunt is successful. What's more. most of the world's creatures will not be diminished in taunt effectiveness. Some will possess this ability if they have been previously marked for that behavior according to the design of a given encounter.

PvP

    • Battlefield Experience: The amount of experience will now be based on the level of the player who earns it, rather than the highest level player present on the battlefield.

  • Shaman Orcs and Trolls now have their own totem skin.

Death knights

  • Talents
    • Profane
      • Plague Strike: Redesigned. The base ability now deals 50% of the weapon's damage plus an additional amount as Physical damage. However, for each disease the death knight infects the target with, the target will receive additional shadow damage equal to 25% of the physical damage dealt.
      • Unholy Blight: This talent now deals only 10% of death spiral damage as a periodic damage effect on the target.

Druids

  • Stalk: This ability no longer has multiple ranks and penalizes movement speed by 30%.

Hunters

  • Call Stable Pet: Cooldown reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes.
  • Deterrence: Now also increases the chance that ranged attacks will miss the hunter by 100% while under this effect.
  • Pets
    • Elude: This talent has been replaced by Selection of the Pack. Hunter pets now innately take 90% less damage from area of ​​effect abilities like all other class pets. Does not apply to area of ​​effect damage dealt by other players.
    • Crouch: Redesigned. This ability no longer influences the threat and instead reduces the damage the pet takes by 40% for 6 seconds with a 45 second cooldown. When crouching, the pet's movement speed is 50% of normal speed. Crouch now only has a single rank and is available at pet level 20.
    • Herd Selection: This talent has replaced Elude in pet talent trees (hunter pets now automatically gain this benefit without the need to spend talent points). Herd Selection increases hunter and pet damage by 1/2/3% for 10 seconds each time the pet critically strikes with Claw, Bite, or Slap.
    • Demoralizing Screech: The attack power reduction of this ability has been increased by 40%, matching the maximum possible attack power reduction of abilities of other classes.
    • Improved Crouch: Redesigned. This ability now reduces Crouch's movement penalty by 50% / 100%.
    • Poison Web Sprayer: Range increased from 20m to 30m.
    • Cobweb: Range increased from 20m to 30m.
    • Wolverine Bite: This talent is now available when the pet deals a critical strike rather than when the target dodges the pet's attacks. Also, this talent no longer has any prerequisites.

      • Divine Sacrifice: Redesigned. The Divine Sacrifice effect is now limited to the party only, and the maximum amount of damage it can transfer is limited to 40% of the paladin's health multiplied by the number of party members. Additionally, the damage transferred to the paladin is now reduced by 50% before being applied. Finally, we fixed the bug that allowed Divine Sacrifice to persist despite reaching the damage cap. Divine Sacrifice will now cancel as soon as it reaches the maximum amount of damage in any case.

Rogues

  • Vanish: During the first half second after using this ability, neither Vanish nor Stealth will be broken when taking damage or being the victim of a hostile spell or ability.

Shamans

  • Fire Nova Totem: This totem has been replaced by a new spell, Fire Nova, which is available at the same ranks as the old Fire Nova Totem. Existing characters will automatically learn this new spell instead of the totem. With an active Fire Totem, shamans will be able to use Fire Nova (Fire magic) to deal the same area of ​​effect damage as the old Fire Nova Totem from the active Fire Totem, without consuming the totem in the process. Fire Nova will trigger a 1,5 second global cooldown when used and has a 10 second spell cooldown. The caster must be within 30 yards of the totem to use this ability, but he does not have to be in the totem's line of sight.

  • Azure Dragons and Drakes will now strike back when characters not on a Dragon's Rest defender attack them.

      • Flame Strike: Some ranks of this spell had an incorrect cast time of 3 seconds. All ranks now share a 2 second cast time.
    • Priests
      • Inspiration: Tooltip now correctly states that it also works with Prayer of Mending.
      • Mental Torture: The tooltip for Rank 1 has been corrected and now indicates the precise damage and braking effect.
    • Witches
      • Curse of the Elements: Rank 4 increased by 11%, up from 10%.
      • Drain Soul: This spell now deals 4 times normal damage at all ranks. Before only rank 6 and higher.
      • Suffering (Voidwalker): Ranks 5-8 had an incorrect taunt radius of 5 yards and have all been adjusted to a 10 yard radius.
