Patch 6.2 Advance Download Now Available

Patch 6.2 early download

From early today on May 20, the download of patch 6.2 data is available from the battle.net desktop

Patch 6.2 early download

At approximately 1 a.m. today, the background download of patch 6.2 data. This download will allow us to play patch 6.2 when it is officially released without having to download all the content that day. Opening the battlenet desktop will start this download automatically.

The size of the data to download for patch 6.2 is 2,48 Gb. This process only downloads the data but does not involve an installation, therefore we do not have access to patch 6.2 yet and when the official day arrives, the installation will be carried out.

You don't need to download all the data urgently. The download can be paused and resumed to download the data when it suits us.

Once the data is downloaded, the game will continue with absolute normality, and the 2,48 Gb occupied will be reduced to a smaller size on the day of the official 6.2 patch release via install.

As always advised with downloads, make sure that your firewall, antivirus or any security program allows the download and correct operation of the battle.net application and the Agent.exe executable.

It is also necessary that the battle.net desktop application is correctly configured (by default it is like this). To ensure the maximum download speed or limit it if you want to download in the background quietly, we must go to Settings (from the top left of battlenet or by clicking on the nut next to the download icon), Install / Update Games, go down to the section Update games and make sure that the option «Apply the latest updates and download the next patch data«. Also a little further down we can assign the bandwidth limit to download future patches (by default it is limited to 100 Kb). We can set the speed that we think is convenient or set it to 0 so that it downloads as fast as possible.

In a Proenix post the news is officially reported.

From my point of view having the early download is good news, it can indicate that the patch is reaching its final stage and that the official release date for patch 6.2 is somewhat close.

What a good download speed. how much is your speed contract?

The data was downloaded to me at 3,1 MB / s, having contracted 30Mb with fiber optics.

    2.    Cesar Villegas L. said

At that download speed it would be approximately 40Mb / s
