General

  • The Broodmother has returned
    • After many years lurking in her lair, fighting brave adventurers who have come from afar to challenge her, Onyxia returns stronger than ever to commemorate the 5th anniversary of World of Warcraft.
      • Onyxia has increased its level to offer new challenges for level 80 players in 10 and 25 player modes.
      • Adjusted to suit modern raids, but with the foundational experience of fighting the Broodmother still present, including the horrors of her Profound Breath!
      • Onyxia will now offer level 80 versions of some of its reward items from the classic level 60 encounter.
      • Brood of Onyxia, a new very rare 310% speed mount modeled after Onyxia herself, will be available for the more fortunate players.
  • Armor Penetration Rating: The amount of armor penetration gained for each point of this rating has been reduced by 12%.

PvP

  • Battlefields
    • Players level 11 and above will now always see a daily battlefield quest, since the character giving the quest will only offer daily quests for battlegrounds that the player can participate in depending on his tier range (i.e. Level 11-20 players will always be offered the Warsong Gulch daily quest, while players level 11-50 will be offered the Arathi Basin or Warsong Gulch daily quest , etc.).

Death knights

  • Frost Presence: The damage reduction provided by this ability has been increased from 5% to 8%.

Druids

      • Moonkin Form: This form now also reduces the damage the druid takes while stunned by 15%.
      • Typhoon: Daze duration increased from 3 seconds to 6 seconds.

      • Infected Wounds: The debuff generated by this talent no longer stacks and instead causes the full effect in a single application.
      • Predatory Strikes: This talent now causes Druid Finishers to provide a 7/13/20% chance per combo point to make the next Nature spell with a cast time less than 10 seconds instant.

Hunters

      • Inner Beast: The duration of this talent has been reduced to 10 seconds. Additionally, Hunters with this talent will deal an additional 10% damage at all times.

Magi

  • Arcane Blast: The benefit for using this ability now stacks up to 4 times instead of 3, and each application increases the mana cost by 175% instead of 200%. Additionally, the duration of the buff has been reduced to 6 seconds.
  • Arcane Missiles: Casting this spell while both Missile Barrage and Free Launch are active will cause only Missile Barrage to be consumed.
  • Talents

      • Missile Barrage: The effect of activating this talent now removes the mana cost of Arcane Missiles. Additionally, the chance for Arcane Blast to trigger this talent is now 8/16/24/32/40%. All other spells mentioned still have a 4/8/12/16/20% chance to trigger. This talent no longer has a chance to trigger when spells fail.
    • Fuego
      • Combustion: This talent now also increases the critical strike damage bonus of Fire spells by 50% while active. Additionally, Living Bomb's periodic pulses will no longer interact with this talent's count or charges.

Paladins

  • Righteous Fury: The bonus threat from Holy spells caused by this talent has been reduced from 90% to 80%.
  • Seal of Corruption and Seal of Vengeance: These seals will now only use debuff stacks generated by the attacking paladin to determine the damage dealt by the seal and by the judgment.

    • Protection
      • Ardent Defender: This talent now reduces damage taken below 35% health by 7/13/20% instead of 10/20/30%.
      • Safeguard Blessing: This blessing now gives 10% strength in addition to its current effects. Additionally, the Strength and Stamina bonuses from this Blessing will no longer be lost when Blessing of Kings is removed.
      • Judgments of the Just: The cooldown reduction on Hammer of Justice given by this talent has been reduced to 5/10 seconds instead of 10/20 seconds.
      • Touched by Light: This talent now provides 20/40/60% of the paladin's strength as spell power instead of 10/20/30% of the paladin's Stamina.
    • Rebuke
      • Seal of Order: This ability now chains to hit up to 2 additional targets when triggered by an attack that can only hit a single target.

Priests

      • Improved Spirit Tap: Mind Flay's periodic critical strikes now have a 50% chance to trigger this talent.
      • Distorted Faith: Now provides spell power equal to 4/8/12/16/20% of Spirit, up from 2/4/6/8/10%.

Rogues

  • Poison: The scale of this ability has been increased from 7% to 9% attack power per combo point.
  • Fan of Knives: The damage done by this ability has been reduced by 30%.
  • Talents
    • Murder
      • Poison Master: No longer increases the rate of application of Deadly Poison after successful Poisoning and instead now provides a 33/66/100% chance to prevent Poison from consuming Deadly Poison.
    • Combat
      • Casting Specialization: This talent no longer causes Fan of Knives to interrupt spell casting.
    • Subtlety
      • Honor Among Thieves: Forced 1 second cooldown on how often the rogue can get combo points for his party from this talent.

Shamans

  • Cleansing Totem: No longer instantly pulses when cast.
  • Flame Shock: The duration of all ranks has been increased by 6 seconds.
  • Lava Burst: This ability no longer consumes the target's Flame Shock debuff.

      • Earthen Power: No longer causes Earthen Nexus totem to pulse an aura of persistent braking immunity. It continues to remove allies' snare as an instant pulse, but is no longer a lingering immunity.     • The cooldown of the Drain Life skill of the Immortal Guardians from the Yogg-Saron encounter has been increased.

Achievements

  • The achievement "Iron Dwarf, Rarely Done (25 player)" now requires 25 kills instead of 50.
  • Frostwolf Howler and Stormpike Battle Ram achievements will now be awarded when a player learns the corresponding mount spells.

Careers

  • The blacksmiths of Orgrimmar have grown tired of running to the other side of the city to craft items and have installed a new anvil and forge in the Valley of Strength Shop.
  • Engineering
    • Mind Amplification Disc: No longer changes the appearance of your helmet.
  • Registration
    • A recipe for Runescroll of Fortitude has been added. This item provides an endurance buff equal to the highest ranked Power Word: Fortitude (without talents) to all players in the raid. The effect of this rune scroll is unique to other scrolls of Stamina and Word of Power: Fortitude.
  • Leatherworking

Objects

  • The Black Heart: The animation has been changed to no longer resemble Hand of Protection.
  • Bonus Level 9 Death Knight Tank Four-Piece Set: Now reduces the cooldown of Vampiric Blood, Unbreakable Armor, and Shield of Bones by 10 seconds, down from 20 seconds.
  • Druid Healer Four-Piece Level 8 Set Bonus: The amount of healing granted by this set's bonus on the initial cast of Rejuvenation has been reduced by 50%. Additionally, this set bonus no longer has rare interactions with Harold's Rejuvenating Clasp.
  • Glyphs
    • Glyph of Bone Shield: This glyph now provides 1 additional charge instead of 2.
    • Glyph of Flame Shock: Redesigned. This glyph now makes the periodic damage of Flame Shock able to critically strike.
    • Glyph of Mind Flay: This glyph no longer reduces the amount of movement reduction on the Mind Flay victim.
    • Glyph of Scourge Strike: Redesigned. This glyph now causes Plague Strike to extend the duration of Frost Rush and Blood Plague by 3 seconds each time Plague Strike is used on a target, up to a maximum of 9 seconds.
    • Glyph of Typhoon: This glyph now increases Typhoon's range by 10 yards in addition to its current effects.
    • Glyph of Unbreakable Armor: Now increases the armor gained by Unbreakable Armor by 20%.
    • Glyph of Vampiric Blood: This glyph now increases the duration of Vampiric Blood by 5 seconds, up from 10 seconds.
  • Treatise on Obstruction: The block value buff on this relic is now exclusive to the treaty block value buff on Sacred Shield; it is impossible to have both advantages at the same time.
  • Treatise on Sacred Shield: This relic's block value buff has been increased according to the level of the item.
  • Relics: All relics granted by relics (idols, treatises, totems, and sigils) now share a unique category so gaining an advantage from one of these items will remove all other benefits gained from items in this category.
  • Shaking Earth Totem: Attack Power value increased to 400.

User interface

  • Battlefield queues
    • Players will no longer be able to queue on more than two battlegrounds at the same time.
    • The Battlegrounds Entry dialog has been changed to display the following options: 'Enter Battle', 'Leave Queue' and 'Minimize'.
    • The time a player has to enter the battle when selected has been reduced to 40 seconds if they are not already on a battlefield and to 20 seconds if they are on a battlefield.
    • Players already on a battlefield will be able to choose 'Enter Battle' to go to a new battlefield under any circumstance (ie, killed, in combat, falling, etc.).
    • A new battlefield will not start until the maximum number of players on each side is in the queue (i.e. 40 players on each side for Alterac Valley).
  • The size of the Focus Frame can now be adjusted through the Interface Options menu.
  • Mail system autocomplete option
    • The line autocomplete option for the mail system has been added back to the game. The mail system will now have autocomplete options available before and after 3.2.0.
    • A label has been added to warn players that the tab key will allow players to navigate the list of character names from the autocomplete option.

Error correction

  • Death Knight
    • Rune of Ice Blade: The vulnerability to Frost provided by this enchantment will now increase the damage dealt by Frost Rush as intended.
  • Druids
    • Balance of Power: Confusing description rewritten. Previously the tooltip gave an incorrect value for increased chance on spell hit. The current talent benefit has not changed.
  • Hunters
    • Master's Call: This ability now correctly removes the slowdown component from Infected Wounds, Frostfire Bolt, and Slow.
    • Trap Mastery (Survival): Tooltip now gives the correct number of summoned snakes.
  • Magi
    • Arcane Missiles: Ranks 12 and 13 will now cause players to engage in combat as they should.
  • Paladins
    • Hand of Freedom: This ability now correctly removes the snare component from Infected Wounds and Frostfire Bolt.
  • Priests
    • Divine Aegis: Ranks 1 and 2 will now work with Holy Nova.
    • Glyph of Power Word: Shield: Now correctly uses the priest's spell critical chance instead of the target's chance.
  • Rogues
    • Vanish: This ability now correctly removes Frostfire Bolt's braking component.
    • Honor Among Thieves: This talent will now function properly again if there are two rogues with different ranks of this talent in the group.
  • Shamans
    • Knockdown Totem: Will now adequately protect against the Deadly Pull spell.
    • Lava Burst: Can no longer critically damage targets immune to critical hits (due to, for example, Sacrificial Roar or Blessed Resilience).

  • Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings: Prayer of Mending's healing now triggers this item's shield. Additionally, a bug that caused Shield Points to be overwritten instead of stacking as they should have been fixed.
