Scalescale and Acidmaw - Heroic Mode

Acidmaw and Scalescale they are the second encounter of The Trial of the Great Crusader. They belong to the group of the Northrend Beasts.

In this 2 Jormungar Heroic Mode Guide, we are only going to detail the details of the heroic version of this combat. It is understood that the combat is known since otherwise you will not have been able to access the Trial of the Great Crusader.     • Paralyzing sprayer: Spray acid on an enemy and nearby targets, dealing 8,325-9,675 and applying a Debilizing Paralyzing Toxin. (Deals 12,950-15,050 Nature damage in 25-person mode)

    • Swept: He spins around, dealing 8,325 to 9,675 points of physical damage to all enemies within 15 meters by knocking them down (Between 10,175 and 11,825 in 25-person mode).

    • Fire phlegm: Deal between 5,550 and 6,450 Fire damage to an enemy. (Deal between 6,938 and 8,062 fire damage in 25-person mode)

    • Burning sprayer: Sprays fluid at an enemy and nearby targets, dealing 8,325 to 9,675 Fire damage and coating them in Burning Bile. (Deals 12,950 to 15,050 Fire damage in 25-person mode)

Changes compared to the normal version of combat

As in the fight against Gormok, approximately 2 and a half minutes after the start of the fight against the Jormungars, Icehowl will appear, whether or not we have killed the Jormungars.

The changes are practically the same, as you can see all the damage has been increased considerably and the health of both Jormungar as well.
Due to the increased damage, it is very important that no one other than the Tank stands in front of these 2 Beasts as otherwise it could end in death, especially for a ranged DPS.

In case Gormok is still on the sand, have a tank ready (Gormok shouldn't have many seconds to live) to grab the first Jormungar.

Not one if not 2 dead Jormungars!

To carry out this combat successfully, it is necessary that no chaos is created with the Burning Bile or the Toxin. For them we can use, for example, the distance complement of the Deadly Boss Mods and be sure always, that we have no one within 10 meters. The damage is quite high and there is nothing worse than spreading it around the band. The moment someone is infected with the Toxin, they must also run towards the player with the Burning Bile to get rid of the paralysis as otherwise will die.

The puddles of slime have also significantly increased their damage (and their duration is now 15 seconds more), and this especially affects the melee DPS that are placed behind. No DPS can take more than 2-3 hits of the damage they do. In addition, due to the increased duration, the puddles of slime must be well distributed on the sand.

As we discussed in the normal mode strategy, it is necessary to kill Acidmaw before Scalescale so it is not impossible to remove the effects of Toxin. Keep in mind that Scarescale will infuriate, significantly increasing its damage so the heals should gradually increase but Scarescale should not have much health left.

If you find yourself running out of time, the free tank should be ready for Howling It. Heroism / Bloodlust must be saved for the next fight.
