Halion video guide (10) in Spanish

Here you have the video in Spanish of Halion's strategy. The Halion guide It has been updated to reflect this video. We hope to have the rest of the Halion videos finished soon.

After the jump you have the transcription:

Greetings and welcome to the Rubí Tabernacle guide! My name is Belelros and in this video I am going to explain the strategy that Aliena has prepared for the normal 10-person mode of the Halion encounter.

To face Halion, you must first defeat the 3 mini-bosses that reside in the Sanctuary: Saviana Burning Fury, Baltharus the Battler, and General Zarithrian. Once killed, Halion will appear in the center ring of the Sanctum.

Shortly after starting combat, a wall of fire will appear in a circle around Halion. You cannot leave the area during the match, which does not leave you too much area to work on.

You will need two tanks, 2-3 healers and 5-6 DPS for this combat.

Like most dragons, Halion has a Flame Breath and a tail strike that stuns two seconds so you'll want to place the raid on both sides of the dragon. No one except the tank should be in front and certainly no one should be near the tail.

Throughout the entire encounter, Halion has an active aura called Twilight Precision, though we can call it Ruby Radiance since all it does is make it hard for tanks to dodge attacks just like in Icecrown.

The combat is divided into three phases. In Phase 1, you will face Halion's fire-based physical form. His main abilities in this phase are Flame Breath, Meteor Strike, and Fiery Combustion.

Here you can see Meteor Strike in action. Every 35 seconds, Halion will mark the ground under a gang member and a flaming X will appear under him. After a few seconds, four lines of fire will extend from the X to the wall of fire. The mark hurts like fire. Do not stay in them.

Fiery Combustion is an effect that is also placed on a random member of the raid. It does a few thousand damage every couple of seconds and each time it does, it adds a dose to the effect. When dispelled, it will turn into a circle of fire at the feet of the affected raid member. The more doses of the effect there were when dissipating them, the larger the circle.

It deals damage and knocks down players so it is important that the members of the raid that have the effect on them, run to the opposite side of where the other members are and use Dispel Magic or Curse, both work.

When Halion's health reaches 70% health, phase two begins. His physical form disappears and a portal will open. Everyone except the tank from the first phase must enter.

In Phase 2, you will find yourself with a damage aura that affects the entire raid, two orbiting spheres that I will explain in a second, a Dark Breath and Soul Consumption, which is the same as Fiery Combustion but the area that appears will attract the nearby players instead of throwing them back.

Make sure your Twilight Realm tank is the first to enter and create threat on Halion or you will have dead melees.

The main mechanics in this phase are the two orbs floating around the twilight realm. They are always at a 180 degree angle and 30 seconds after phase 2 begins and then 30 seconds each time, the orbs will be connected by a beam of shadows that crosses the entire area.

The orbs will keep moving as long as the beam is active so it is imperative that the raid move with the beam without staying on it. You don't want to see yourself inside it as it will basically kill the gang member. The beam lasts for 10 seconds and then goes inactive for 20 and so on.

You don't want to stand in front of the Dark Breath like Aliena does here. Although it may not kill you, it is an added stress for your gang healer.

The Soul Consumption zones you see here are pretty badly placed. It is best to put them in the outer zone so be sure to yell at the member with the effect if they don't start to move away.

You can move continuously with the spheres as they do in the video but if the communication of the band is good, it would be easier to move when the waves are about to appear. Your tank needs to mark the path as no limb should be near the head or tail.

As you can see, their communication was not the best.

At 50% salute, Halion enters phase 3. Now you have to split the raid because Halion's physical form will be active again. Make sure the tank healer in your party takes the portal out of the twilight realm before phase 3 begins so they are ready to attack the tank that was outside.

You also need to send some DPS to the physical world. In this phase, Halion gains an effect called Corporality. If you deal the same damage to Halion in both realms, Coroporality will not benefit Halion. However, let's say you do a little more damage in the twilight realm, then Halion will do and take more damage in the physical realm while the Corporality of the Twilight Realm will cause him to do and take less damage.

In short, the goal is to keep the damage dealt to Halion similar in both realms. Spellcasters will do better on physical damage while melees will do better on Twilight. Divide your band so that neither side has too much power. All other mechanics in both kingdoms remain the same in Phase 3.

Synthesizing: Make sure people with the effect are dispelled away from the band. Stay away from the Breaths, tail blows, and flames. Use auras or totems to reduce elemental damage. Stay away from the shadows. Divide the DPS similarly for Phase 3 so that the Corporality remains the same.

When Halion's health reaches 0%, you win.
