Blacksmith Guide 1-600

This guide will teach you the quickest and easiest way to get your Smithy from 1 to 600. Updated for patch 5.0.5. Blacksmithing is best combined with Mining and it is highly recommended to upload Mining and Blacksmithing at the same time because you will need a lot of gold if you want to buy everything from the Auction.

It takes a lot of dedication to get to the end of those epic items. Also, like other sales of created objects, the benefits begin to be seen at the end, so by raising the Blacksmith you will have to invest a lot of gold in order to see the results in the end.

First, visit any coach in major cities of ancient Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Blacksmith Apprentice.

• 1 – 30 33 x [Iron whetstone] - 33 Iron Stone

• 30 – 65 50 x [Iron Grinding Stone] - 100 Iron Stone

  Keep up with these.

• 65 – 75 10 x [Belt of Copper Rings] - 60 Copper Bar

Learn Official Blacksmithing.

• 75 – 90 40 x [Coarse grinding stone] - 80 Coarse Stone

  Save the Coarse Grinding Stones and if you have a lot of Coarse Stones then you can make it to 100 and skip the next step.

  If you haven't reached 90 doing this, you can proceed to the next step, but you will need a few Copper Bars, or make a little more Coarse Grinding Stone.

• 90 – 100 10 x [Runed Copper Belt] - 100 Copper Bar

• 100 – 105 7 x [Silver skeleton key] - 7 Silver Bar, 14 Iron Grinding Stone

  You can also skip this part and only make Copper Runic Belt if you don't have any Silver Bars.

• 105 – 110 5 x [Runed Copper Belt] - 50 Copper Bar

You will need Tin Bar to make Bronze Bar.

• 110 – 125 15 x [Iron Bronze Shoulders] - 75 Bronze Bar, 15 Coarse Grinding Stone

Learn Expert Blacksmithing.

• 125 – 140 35 x [Heavy grinding stone] - 105 Heavy Stone

  Follow up with Heavy Grinding Stone. Raise it to 150 if Heavy Stone is cheap.

• 140 – 145 5 x [Iron Bronze Shoulders] - 25 Bronze Bar, 5 Coarse Grinding Stone

• 145 – 155 10 x [Stamped Bronze Bracers] - 50 Bronze Bar, 20 Coarse Grinding Stone

  Pleasure [Golden skeleton key] between 150-160 if you get cheap Gold Bar.

• 155 – 165 10 x [Green Iron Leggings] - 80 Iron Bar, 10 Heavy Grinding Stone, 10 Green Tint

Green Tint is sold by the supplies from Tailoring and Leatherworking.

This recipe is sold these NPCs. The recipe appears in 30 min after being purchased, this means that you will have to wait if someone bought it before. do [Mithril Scale Pants] If you don't want to wait for the recipe or check the Auction and search [Design: Heavy Mithril Pants]

• 235 – 250 Check the Auction, if you can get the Mithril Spurs recipe and if it is not that expensive, buy it and do it until you reach 255.

  15 x [Coin of Mithril] - 150 Mithril Bar, 90 Magic Tissue Cloth

• 250 – 260 20 x [Dense whetstone] - 20 Dense Stone

• 260 – 275 15 x [Thorium Bracers] - 120 Thorium Bar

• 275 – 290 15 x [Imperial Plate Bracers] 180 Thorium Bar

• 290 – 300 Choose one of the recipes listed below. Both require 12 Thorium Bar for each creation, the only difference between them is that you need 1 Star Ruby for the Helm and 8 Rough Leather for the Boots.

  Alchemists can transmute 8 Saronite Bar into 1 Titanium Bar and this does not have a cooldown.

From here, you will see that sometimes you will create an object which requires a little more materials than the others. The reason is that if you do not produce an object in quantity, it is easier to sell it at auction.

• 425 – 455 83 x [Obsidium folded] - 166 Obsidium Bar

  Stop doing them when you reach 455, do more only if you need to. If you choose other recipes you may need less than 80.

• 455 – 459 Make 4 of any recipe that calls for 3 Folded obsidium.

Almost all of the following will score you multiple points for creating them!

• 459 – 462 1 x [Stormforged Gauntlets] - 6 Folded Obsidium, 8 Volatile Earth

• 462 – 470 Do 8 of any of the following:

  [Red Steel Belt], [Stormforged Belt], [Belt of Hardened Obsidium] - 32 Folded Obsidium, 8 Volatile Earth

• 470 – 475 [Obsidium-edged spear] - 12 Folded Obsidium, 10 Volatile Earth, 4 Volatile Fire

• 475 – 480 [Cold forged corvo] - 15 Folded Obsidium, 6 Volatile Earth, 4 Volatile Water

  Pleasure [Obsidium skeleton key] up to 480 if you don't plan on selling the dagger at Auction.

• 480 – 489 3 x [Stormforged Legguards] - 6 Folded Obsidium, 24 Elementium Bar

• 489 – 494 1 x [Fire-etched dagger] - 20 Elementium Bar, 12 Volatile Earth, 4 Volatile Fire

• 494 – 500 2 x [Stormforged Helm] - 40 Elementium Bar, 16 Volatile Earth

  You can also do 2 x [Helm of Hardened Obsidium] (8 folded Obsidium, 30 Elementium, 12 Volatile Earth), but perhaps it is easier to farm Elementium instead of Obsidium.

• 500 – 501 1 x [Ghostly Skeleton Key] - 1 Phantom Iron Bar

  This is an important step, don't skip it.

• 501 – 526 5 x [Phantom Forge Bracers] - 25 Ghost Iron Bar

• 526 – 532 Pleasure [Ghostly Skeleton Key] up to 526, if you started from 525.

  2 x [Phantom Forge Belt] or 2x [Ghost Forge Gauntlets] - 14 Ghost Iron Bar

• 532 – 544 4 x [Ghost Forge Boots] - 28 Ghost Iron Bar

• 544 – 549 1 x [Light Steel Shield] - 9 Ghost Iron Bar

• 549 – 559 2 x [Spiritguard Shield] - 18 Ghost Iron Bar

• 559 – 569 2 x [Ghost Forge Helm] or 2x [Phantom Forge Breastplate] - 24 Ghost Iron Bar

Check your in-game Calendar to see if the Darkmoon Fair is open, the event starts at 00:01 on the Sunday before the first Monday of each month.

You can get +5 points completing a simple mission.

• 569 – 575 12 x [Phantom Forge Shoulders] - 84 Ghost Iron Bar

• 575 – 600 Once you reach 575 you can buy the vendor's recipes for the last 25 points. The Blacksmith recipes are at a vendor in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. You can enter there after completing the mission A heavenly experience (requires level 87). After completing the mission, you can search for jorunga stonehoof (Horde) in Shrine of Two Moons and Cullen hammerbrow (Alliance) in Sanctuary of the Seven Stars.

  You will need 1 Spirit of Harmony to buy a recipe and you only need one recipe. You can obtain Spirit of Harmony by combining 10 Motes of Harmony. Motes are dropped by all mobs in Pandaria, even in dungeons. The drop is very low, so it will take you 2 hours to collect 10 motes.

  Choose one of the recipes from the Contender's Return Armor. It doesn't matter which one it is because if one of them requires more Ghost Iron Bar, it will give you more points. You will need between 58-64 Phantom Iron Bar.
