Skills

Phase 1

Fandral transforms into a feline when his enemies are not grouped or into a scorpion when 7 or more enemies are grouped (18 in 25 player mode).

Every three transformations, Fandral pauses for an instant in human form.

Feline form

fandral-cat

Fandral transforms into a feline when his enemies are not grouped.

  • Leap of flames: Fandral jumps on an enemy, leaving behind a spirit of the Flame. It lands in a Blaze of Glory, igniting the ground it lands on and burning players with 24,999 points of fire damage every 0,5 seconds for 1 minute. This attack costs 100 energy points.

  • Spirit of the Flame: These images of Fandral attack enemies until they are defeated.
  • Adrenalin: Fandral gains a dose of Adrenaline every time he launches Flame Jump. Adrenaline increases your energy regeneration by 20% per dose. Fandral loses all doses of Adrenaline when changing forms.

  • Furia: Fandral gains a dose of Fury each time he transforms into a cat or scorpion, increasing the damage of Flame Leap and Flame Scythe by 8% per dose. The effect stacks.

Scorpion shape

fandral-scorpion

Fandral transforms into a scorpion when 7 or more players are grouped (18 in 25-player mode).

  • Flame Scythe: Fandral deals 750,000 points of Fire damage to enemies in front of him. Damage is spread evenly among targets hit. This attack costs 100 energy points.

  • Adrenalin: Fandral gains a dose of Adrenaline every time he casts Flame Scythe.

Phase 2

fandral-staghelm

When Fandral transitions into Human Form, he briefly envelops his enemies in a Fiery Cyclone and casts an additional spell.

When he changes from feline form to scorpion form, Fandral releases Scorching Seeds.

When he changes from a scorpion form to a feline form, Fandral unleashes fiery orbs.

  • Fiery cyclone: Fiery Cyclone knocks all enemy players into the air, preventing any action but making them immune for 3 seconds.

  • Scorching seeds: Scorching Seeds plants enemy seeds for players. Each seed grows at a different rate. When fully grown, the seeds explode, inflicting 65,000 points of fire damage to players within a 12-meter radius.

  • Burning orbs: Fandral summons various orbs throughout the platform. Each orb attacks the closest player, burning them for 6,500 Fire damage every 2 seconds. The effect stacks.

Strategy

The difficulty of the encounter with Steward Steer Steward increases progressively until he or the gang is killed. Each time Stagtail shapeshifts, it gains Furia, so too many changes would do too much damage to the band.

On the other hand, keeping the Butler in the same shape will generate too much Adrenalin so the damage will not be sustainable either.

It is necessary to remember that his human form is temporary and that we cannot force the boss to remain in it. The main ways we will fight will be the Feline form and Scorpion shape.

Thus, the key to this combat is balance, the exact alternation of the phases, which will depend essentially on the state of our band and our spells (such as Power Word: Barrier o Divine guardian).

Below we will explain in detail the recommended strategy for each of the phases.

Strategy for the Feline Form

In this phase, the ranged players and healers should be scattered outside the circle of the platform (a circular mark on the ground will facilitate positioning), while the melee players will be placed in the center along with Corzocelada and the copies of the same. We will also have to avoid the fire zones that the feline leaves behind.

The areas of fire that Dawnstag leaves behind from his leaps are extremely damaging and can be fatal if we stay just a few seconds on top. Players affected by these areas should stand as close to them as possible. In this way, if the Mayodomo throws us another zone, this new one will overlap with the previous one and we will lose as little space as possible.

Tanks should be ready to taunt the Flame Spirits as soon as they appear. These hit quite strong melee, and if we accumulate more than two at the same time, the tanks and healers would have a really bad time, so the other members of the band should be prepared to finish them off as quickly as possible. .

As the Butler uses his Flame Leaps, his Adrenalin They will increase, so you will use your skills more and more frequently. Not only will it cause more damage progressively, but the Spirits of the Flame will also accumulate more and more. Additionally, the short interval between Flame Leapings will cause fire zones to stack up too much so that melee players will no longer be able to dodge the attack. At this point it will be time for the gang to unite to force Corzocelada to transform into Scorpion shape.

When we go to get together so that Corzocelada changes form, we must do so in a totally coordinated way. The meeting place will be near one of the fire areas, since while we move, Corzocelada could throw us one last Flame Leap, which would complicate things for us.

Strategy for the Scorpion Form

During the Scorpion Phase the entire raid must be united in front of the boss so that the damage caused by Flame Scythe is properly distributed among all members.

If the raid is in the right position, Flame Scythe will deal a total of 75.000 points of damage in mode 10, and 90.000 in mode 25, to each member. As the combat progresses, the damage will progressively increase due to the benefits of Furia

The strategy in this phase is simple: it is based on healing all the damage that the Butler causes to the raid.

When the interval between attacks begins to cause difficulties for the healers we must separate to force the change back to the Feline form.

Tips and Tricks

We will have to try to keep Corzocelada as long as possible in the same way. The best way to do this is to use spells like Divine guardian, Power Word: Barrier, Auras Mastery o Peace of mind to mitigate the damage of the jump of Flame Scythe

If possible, we should stay in Scorpion form until Stag Steeple throws 7 or 8 Flame Scythes at us.

It should be noted that due to the accumulation of benefits from AdrenalinSpells like Power Word: Barrier can only mitigate the damage of two Flame Scythes.

Melee players lose quite a bit of damage from not being able to hit from behind, especially Druids and Rogues. These classes can be placed on the boss's back during the Scorpion phase as long as they rejoin the rest of the raid when Stag Stag casts Flame Scythe (so before it reaches 100 energy points). It should be taken into account that this strategy will progressively become more complicated due to the accumulations of Adrenaline. When these reach 4 the movement will become impossible.

Strategy for the Human Form

Upon transitioning to Human form, the Steeple Butler will launch one of these two abilities depending on his last transformation: Scorching seeds (if it comes from Feline form) or Burning orbs (if it comes from Scorpion shape).

The difficulty that these abilities present is having to deal with them while Stagtail is in one of its forms. There is only one possible variant for each one, which we will see below.

Scorching Seeds during Scorpion Form

Immediately after launching the Scorching seeds Corzocelada will transform into Scorpion shape. Raid members will need to be vigilant so that the Scorching Seeds debuff does not expire while taking a hit from Flame Scythe Therefore, they must move 12 yards away from the band if they see that such an event could occur. It is preferable that there are fewer players to spread the damage of the Scythe than that one of the Seeds explodes in the middle of the Raid.

When a player affected by Scorching Seeds dies (most often from the Flame Scythe), their seed will automatically explode, dealing damage to all allies within 12 yards.

In addition, players who move away from the gang to detonate their seed must take special care to prevent it from exploding next to another gang member who also moved away for the same purpose.

Paladins, Rogues, and Mages can dispose of their seeds using spells like Divine shield, Cloak of Shadows and Block of ice respectively, but they must bear in mind that this will cause the seeds to detonate anyway. Players who decide to make such a move must always do so after a Flame Scythe is thrown, so that they can return before the next Scythe is thrown.

Burning Orbs during Cat Form

Burning orbs will always precede Feline form. This has no direct synergy with Staghelm's Leaping Flames, other than the fact that it adds more of a strain on healers.

Immediately after launching the Burning orb Corzocelada will adopt Feline Form. The only impact these will have is to increase the damage taken by some players. To deal with the orbs, the players must form pairs to rotate and avoid the accumulation of the disadvantages that they grant.

As mentioned above, Burning Orbs last one minute, are static, and cannot be attacked. Spells like Divine shield, Block of ice o Deterrence will allow players to be hit by the orbs without taking any damage or debuffs for a short period of time. This could be helpful in chaotic situations where the band takes a lot of damage.

Final Considerations
The encounter with Steward Steer Steward is the last hurdle before reaching Ragnaros and it will be a very intense experience. We will have to familiarize ourselves with the skills of the boss and its mechanics at the beginning of the fight, when the fight is more permissive, and thus prepare ourselves for the final blow!
