Strategy

First phase
In the first phase we will find a Yogg-Saron illusion called Sara.

Sara at the Yogg-Saron meeting

For the first phase you will have to kill the guardians of Yogg-Saron on top of Sara since they explode when they die. You must explode 9 guardians on top of it to go to the next phase.
Sara cannot be attacked and will cast her spells at random targets on both players and Yogg-Saron Guardians. We will have to keep the guardians and the group out of the clouds unless we want to accelerate the passage to the second phase. Staying in a cloud will spawn another Guardian of Yogg-Saron.

Second stage
Crusher Tentacle

At the beginning of this phase, players start with 100% Cordura. You have to kill the remaining Yogg-Saron Guardians before the second phase begins as the tentacles are quite annoying. If you are being assisted by Freya and you are running out of sanity, the green waves will restore your sanity. Yogg-Saron's brain is protected by a shield that substantially reduces the damage he takes.

Crushing Tentacle: This Tentacle deals a lot of melee damage and has a lot of health. Have a hate which reduces the damage dealt by the raid by 20%. This effect accumulates if there are more Crushing Tentacles nearby so that if we have 5 nearby we will not inflict any damage, therefore these tentacles must die quickly. On the other hand, while they are attacked they have a effect that increases their damage and attack speed so it is even more important to kill them quickly.

Corrupting Tentacle: This tentacle is responsible for launching several negative effects:

  • guide_ulduar_yoggsaron_corruptor

Curse of doom: This curse deals 20,000 points of damage to a target after 12 seconds.

  • Apathy: Reduces haste and movement speed by 60% for 20 seconds.
  • Draining poison: This poison deals 21,000 points of nature damage to an enemy and drains 21,000 points of mana in 18 seconds. That is, 1,200 mana points per second.
  • Black Death: Infects a target with the plague forcing them to vomit for 2 seconds, obviously interrupting any spell casting.

With this tentacle, all effects must be dispelled and all abilities are interruptible. Shaman totems with this tentacle are useful

guide_ulduar_yoggsaron_constrictor

TentConstrictor aculum: These tentacles have very low health and appear under some random players throwing them into the air doing a little damage until they are eliminated.

Sara will remain floating on the main body of Yogg-Saron casting the abilities listed above. It should be noted the Lightning that Sara launches, which is very similar to Kologarn's but instantly kills the target.

Death Ray Yogg-Saron

Every 90 seconds or so, portals will open into Yogg-Saron's mind. All melee DPS must enter those portals although it is important Do Not Enter if we have little Cordura since when you go through the portal you lose Cordura. As we cross the portal we will see one of the 3 random illusions, tentacles and skulls laughing around the room. The skulls throw have a Lunatic look so we must turn around so as not to look at the skulls all the time. The illusion will vanish as soon as the tentacles in the room die and the melee DPS must run into the brain room to deal some damage, as it is not protected here, before leaving the illusion. The Brain begins to cast the spell Induce madness and it will take 60 seconds to cast it so they must finish their task and DPS in those 60 seconds and exit before I finish casting this ability or they will end up crazy. If a player runs out of Sanity, they will be controlled by Yogg-Saron and cannot be resurrected in any way.
The second phase ends when the brain dies.

Third phase

Immortal Guardian Yogg-Saron

In this phase the rage time is reduced to 5 minutes. The tentacles will no longer appear in this phase, although those that remain active must be eliminated. However, the Immortal Guardians. We will have to take care of these guardians at the same time that we harm Yogg-Saron. At the beginning of combat they do a lot of damage but each attack against them reduces the damage they inflict. Once we leave them at 1% life, if Thorim assists us, they will die with the ability of the Titanic storm. If Thorim is not there, they will have to be tanked until the end of the fight.
During this phase, we will see a skull floating above Yogg-Saron that will launch the Lunatic look so you have to be vigilant and turn around.

During this phase, Sara's abilities are maintained so in those 5 minutes we will have an interesting (and hard) DPS race.

It is highly recommended to save Heroism / Bloodlust for this phase.
