Changes in Draenor Smithy
Remember that professions now no longer give direct benefits to our characters; in the case of the Blacksmith, the benefits have been equated with those of the other professions.
However, we are still the manufacturers of Shields and Weapons par excellence.
Now you can go from 1 to 700 only with recipes and materials from Draenor, which will make it much easier for you to start this profession from scratch.
To climb the Smithy we will need a lot Blackrock Ore y True iron ore, which we will easily obtain from Mina, so that you can keep your Mining profession (if you already had it) or replace it with another and raise the profession with the materials obtained in the Mine.
By killing creatures of Draenor you can obtain items that when combined with Blackrock Ore o True iron ore, will help us to add skill points in the profession: Perforated cuirass, Torn Greaves, Tizona shattered, Battered shield y Ankle boots without sole.
Learning Draenor Blacksmithing
We have several ways to start the rise of the profession with the same purpose, obtain Draenor Smithy.
- You can buy it for 100 gold from the profession vendor at War Spear o Storm Shield, or in your own Citadel if you have built the Forge.
- You can complete the profession missions:
- Father and son, in the case of the Alliance, obtaining as a reward: Draenor Smithy y The Forge, Level 1
- Mend a broken heart, in the case of the Horde, obtaining as a reward: Draenor Smithy y The Forge, Level 1
When learning Draenor Smithy , increases your maximum skill in Tailoring to 700, so you won't need to go back to the instructor to increase your rank. You will also get the following recipes:

Climbing Draenor Smithy
Blacksmithing can be fully upgraded from level 1 to 700 with only Draenor materials.
You can create coins to buy new Draenor recipes with Blacksmithing Secrets of Draenor. The Secrets have a daily CD, so it is advisable not to lose it at least until we get the recipes that interest us the most. All these recipes can be made with any skill level.

Materials
As we discussed earlier, to climb Draenor Smithy we will need Blackrock Ore y True iron ore that we can easily obtain from the Mine or with the Mining. In addition, some sorcerer elements, the latter will be obtained by ordering professions and preparing recipes.
We will need Blackrock Ore y True iron ore to create Truesteel Ingot.
Once we have enough units of Truesteel Ingot, we can start creating Armors and Epic Weapons; some of these armors need units of Raw Beast Hide y Sumptuous fur.
For the improvements of our armor and epic weapons we will need Truesteel Ingot, sorcerer elements and Wild blood.
Citadel: The Forge
Level 1: Produces Draenor Smithy items and places orders.
Level 2: Allows followers with the Blacksmith trait to work here, granting a one-time bonus, Song of the Anvil y Consolation of the ForgeIt also allows you to place up to 14 orders at a time.
Level 3: Unlocks the profession missions and allows you to have up to 21 orders at a time.
Blacksmithing Changes Patch 6.2
The existing improvements until now, for the objects made with Blacksmithing are simplified, leaving a single improvement, It also requires less materials than the previous ones and increases the item level by 15 points to a maximum of 685.
On the contrary, 2 new ranks of best have been addedto. The 2 new ranges are called «powerful»(Rank 5 increases ilvl to 700) and«salvaje»(Rank 6 increases ilvl to 715). To create them we will need the new material felblight (vile plague), as detailed in this article.
New Blacksmith Improvements
These new enhancements will be available in the Profession sellers visiting our Citadel.
