PvP Warlock Talents - Battle for Azeroth


Hello guys. In today's article, we'll talk about the talents for Warlock PvP across all three specs - Destruction, Demonology, and Affliction - in the Battle for Azeroth beta. Pay attention to all PvP lovers to know what this class has in store for us in the player versus player field.

PvP Warlock talents

In Batttle for Azeroth the talent system for PvP has changed. Now we can choose up to four talents and these will be unlocked at different levels. The first will be unlocked at level 20, the second at level 40, the third at level 70 and the fourth and last at level 110.
In the first slot, that is, the one that we unlock at level 20, we can choose between three options. These three options will be the same for all Warlock specializations, Destruction, Demonology and Affliction.
From there, the remainder will be chosen from a variety of talents that will be different for each of the Warlock's specializations.
In order to access the talents when we are in the world we will have to have the War Mode activated. To be able to switch between the different talents we will have to be in a city.
Remind you that we are in the beta version of the game because what may be some change. If this happens, we will keep you informed promptly.

PvP talents common to all specs

As I said before, the first slot is unlocked at level 20 and we can choose between three talents that will be common to the three specializations of the Warlock. These talents are:

  • Adapting: Replaces Honorable Medallion. Remove any loss of control effects that last 5s or longer. This effect can only occur once every 1 minute.
  • Tireless: Replaces Honorable Medallion. Duration of crowd control effects on you reduced by 20%. It does not stack with similar effects.
  • Gladiator's Medallion: Replaces Honorable Medallion. removes all movement impairing effects and all effects that cause your character to lose control in PvP combat. Cooldown 2 minutes.

PvP Talents Warlock Destruction

These talents are intended for us to use with our Warlock in his Destruction specialization. You can use them in the second (level 40), third (level 70) and fourth slot (level 110) as they are unlocked and will be the following:

  • Focused chaos (Focused Chaos): Chaos Bolt's damage is increased by 65%, but no longer hits additional targets affected by havoc. Passive.
  • Fel fissure (Fel Rift): Chaos Bolt creates a 5 meter eruption of fel fire below the target, reducing movement speed by 50% and all healing received by 25% to all enemies in the rift. Lasts 6 seconds. Passive.
  • Cremation (Cremation): Conflagrate deals up to an additional 3% of the target's maximum health as Fire damage if the target is affected by your Immolate. Passive.
  • Rooted in the flames (Rooted in Flames): Conflagrate roots the enemy target for 3 seconds. Damage does not cancel this effect. Passive.
  • Terror of chaos (Terror of Chaos): Curses the ground with demonic terror, causing all of your single-target spells to also hit targets marked with terror. Lasts 10 seconds. Replaces Havoc. Range of 40 meters. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds.
  • Curse of fragility (Curse of Frailty): Reduces the target's maximum health by up to 15% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds. Range of 40 meters.
  • Curse of tongues (Curse of Tongues): Forces the enemy to speak demonic, increasing the casting time of all spells by 30% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 15 seconds.
  • Curse of weakness (Curse of Weakness): Reduces physical damage dealt by the target by 25% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 20 seconds.
  • Nether Ward (Nether Ward): Surrounds the caster with a shield that lasts 3 seconds and reflects all harmful spells cast at you. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds.
  • Essence drain (Essence Drain): When healed by Drain Soul, the target deals 5% less damage to you for 6 seconds. Stacks up to five times. Passive.
  • Launch circle (Casting Circle): Summons a casting circle for 8 seconds. As long as you remain inside, you are immune to the effects of silence and interruption. Learning Cast Circle causes Endless Resolve to no longer grant immunity to silence and interrupt effects. 400 mana points. 1,2 seconds to launch. Cooldown: 1 minute.

PvP Talents Warlock Demonology

These talents are intended for us to use with our Warlock in his Demonology specialization. You can use them in the second (level 40), third (level 70) and fourth slot (level 110) as they are unlocked and will be the following:

  • Charring magic (Charring Magic): Orders your summoned imp to remove all damaging magical effects from the target, but it deals 3% of their total health as Fire damage. Your imp must be your currently active pet to use Charcoal Magic. Range of 40 meters. Instant. Cooldown: 15 seconds.
  • Call Felhunter (Call Felhunter): Summons the power of a Void Felhunter that instantly applies Spell Lock to the enemy target. Call Felhunter cannot be used if your current pet is a Felhunter. Range of 40 meters. Instant. Cooldown: 24 seconds.
    • Spell Block: Counters the enemy's spellcasting, preventing spells from that school of magic from being cast for 6 seconds.
  • Pleasant pain (Pleasant Pain): While your Succubus is active, your Shadow damage is increased by 15%, and the cast time of your Shadow Bolt is reduced by 0,5 seconds. Passive.
  • Call Lord Vile (Call Vile Lord): Summons a Vile Lord to guard the location for 15 seconds. Any enemy that comes within 6 feet will take up to 5% of their maximum health as damage and players hit will be stunned for 1 second. 2 soul shards. Range of 40 meters. Instant. Cooldown: 1,5 minutes.
  • Call observer (Call Observer): Summons a Demon Observer to guard the area for 20 seconds. Whenever an enemy in a zone radius casts a damaging magic spell, the observer instantly deals 5% of the target's maximum health as shadow damage. Instant. Cooldown: 1,5 minutes.
  • Summoning Master (Summoning Master): Your Call Terriers is now instant cast. Passive.
  • Curse of fragility (Curse of Frailty): Reduces the target's maximum health by up to 15% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds. Range of 40 meters.
  • Curse of tongues (Curse of Tongues): Forces the enemy to speak demonic, increasing the casting time of all spells by 30% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 15 seconds.
  • Curse of weakness (Curse of Weakness): Reduces physical damage dealt by the target by 25% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

  • Curse of tongues (Curse of Tongues): Forces the enemy to speak demonic, increasing the casting time of all spells by 30% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 15 seconds.
  • Curse of weakness (Curse of Weakness): Reduces physical damage dealt by the target by 25% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 20 seconds.
  • Curse of fragility (Curse of Frailty): Reduces the target's maximum health by up to 15% for 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds. Range of 40 meters.
  • Infinite affliction (Infinite Affliction): Your Immortal Affliction deals normal damage, but its duration is increased by 6 seconds. Passive.
  • Break soul (Soul Break): Consumes all of your damage over time effects on the five closest enemies within 40 yards, dealing up to 10% of their maximum health as Shadow damage. For each enemy hit by Break Soul, gain 1 Soul Shard and 10% Haste for 8 seconds. Instant. Cooldown: 1 minute.
  • Portal Mastery (Portal Mastery): Increases the range of your Demon Portal by 20 meters and reduces its casting time by 30%. Reduces the time players have to wait to use your demon portal by 15 seconds. Passive.
  • Rot and decomposition (Rot and Decay): Each time your Drain Life deals damage, increases the duration of your Unstable Affliction, Corruption, and Agony on the target by 1 second. Passive.
  • Curse of the shadows (Curse of Shadows): Magic damage over time effects strike the target once more, dealing 20% ​​of their damage as Shadow damage. Lasts 10 seconds. 250 mana points. Instant. range of 40 meters. Cooldown: 30 seconds.
  • Nether Ward (Nether Ward): Surrounds the caster with a shield that lasts 3 seconds and reflects all harmful spells cast at you. Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds.
