Officers: Probationary Guide

Although you may not believe it, from time to time I receive requests through the contact form or directly by mail to continue with my Guild Master Guide. I honestly never thought I was going to like it so much since it is something that is quite personal and subjective. Currently I no longer do the functions of Brotherhood Master, Officer or even Band Leader because it is too much responsibility and a lot of time that, unfortunately, I don't have.
I will continue with the articles at a slow but steady pace.

This time I am not going to tell you anything about the Guild Masters. You have to put yourself in the shoes of an Officer.

It is common for sororities to ask for access requests (applys) which generally lead to an interview with a Class officer and subsequently, if the player is chosen, a trial period is created in which the player tests the guild and the player guild. It is important to understand that as a concept, like a Trial Period in a job, it consists of a test for both.
If we receive access requests it is because we have the purpose of recruiting players so we will have to try that even if the player is not what we are looking for, on our part feel comfortable.

Guild Master's Guide: Part 9 - The Daily Work

It had been a long time since I wrote about the Brotherhood Master and many, through comments or the Contact Form You have asked me to continue with this guide that already has 9 deliveries.

teacher_guide_brother_toca_work

Today we are going to talk about the day-to-day management of a brotherhood assuming that you have finally created it and have some members to start your own events. One can mistakenly think that the work of a Master is over taking into account that we have established good policies, everything should go smoothly right?

Guild Master's Guide: Part 8 - The Events

It sounds like a truism, doesn't it? All sororities must have events. If you do not have scheduled events, it means that there is no organization in your brotherhood and therefore it makes no sense to belong to a brotherhood.

guide_master_brother_events

Although all sororities have events, their success with organization and execution varies greatly. In this installment of the guide we are going to talk about the organization. After all, one of the biggest reasons your members were looking for a sorority is because they wanted others to run their events for them.
You, as the Master of Brotherhood, must give a good service in that sense through the calendar of events.

Guild Master's Guide: Part 7 - The Members and You

Once you have decided what type of organization your brotherhood will have, created the rules and policies and designed a leadership structure, you should be prepared to start expanding the membership of your guild. Ideally, if you want to start a brotherhood from scratch, you will probably have a group of friends and attachés who join your brotherhood. I simply think that what I have just exposed is essential since I cannot imagine a person who follows all this guide to set up a brotherhood from scratch without knowing anyone and start creating the statutes by asking people at the auction if they can sign you.

Either way, if that is your case, here are some tips.

Guiaswow answer: Implementing Wowhead on your site

Some time ago, we inaugurated a section on the web to answer the doubts of the users that arise.

The idea is that you, send us your questions through your comments or your emails to webmaster @guiaswow.com This e-mail address is protected against spam bots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will try to answer one question a week. A couple of days ago in the article of the Community News commented on the doubt of Darkchiken on the topic of implementing Wowhead on our site. Today we are going to treat it in more depth and we are going to talk about each specific site since it is very simple. If you have any questions about how to set up your website, do not hesitate to go through the Guild Master's Guide Part 2: Create a Website.

Guild Master's Guide Part 6: The DKP System

DKPThis week, in the Guildmaster's Guide, we're going to take a more in-depth look at the DKP system. Many are the brotherhoods that decide to implement this system and very very little is the information that is out there available. We talked Not a long time ago About the sharing of loot in the guilds, but just yesterday, Pedro, asked me to make this guide that I had more or less mock-up.

Today I am going to try to explain in depth the entire DKP system.

I will try to do it as a question and answer. ,

What are the DKPs?

DKP is short for Dragon kill points. This point system was designed by Everquest players and is named after the Dragons that correspond to the final bosses in this game.

Guild Teacher Guide: Part 5 - Leadership

I want you to remember the first section I wrote from this Guild Teacher Guide in which I advised future teachers to form a group of officers. In this installment of the guide we are going to delve deeper into the question of leadership and I am going to try to advise you on how to build and maintain a hierarchy in your brotherhood. This can also be applied to your real life so take note.

guide_master_brother_part_5

The first lesson that I want to teach you today is that you have to delegate, delegate and DELEGATE. In this article, I'm going to try to explain how Guild Officers and Guild Masters can (and should) work together to run a Guild.

Guild Master's Guide: Part 4 - Sharing the Loot

Congratulations! Your brotherhood now has a rules, statutes and policies prepared and your website it should be working. Even if you are not raiding yet, your next step is to decide what to do with the fun purple ones that you will find when you defeat a boss.

handing out_botin_header

When I was recruiting for the guild and doing some interviews, a lot of people asked me how my guild shared the loot.

Basic delivery systems

Most gang-making guilds use some variation between one or two loot distribution systems. The first is the Booty Council, in which the officers or other members chosen for this role decide who gets what piece of the booty based on a complex index of need and merit. The second is the DKP system. This system allows members of a gang to earn points for killing bosses (or whatever the gang leader decides just) and spend it when buying loot. There are numerous pros and cons to each system and now we are going to take a look at them.

Guild Master's Guide: Part 3 - The Rules

In this third part of our Guild Master's Guide, I'm going to try to teach you how to establish rules and policies that will help your guild run well. Without clear rules, your brotherhood will have no control and no one will be able to say anything because there are no established rules.

guide_master_brother_part_3

Before a person joins our brotherhood, he must know the rules well and if he does not accept them it is clear that he should not remain in our brotherhood. I am going to comment on three policies that I consider fundamental and that I consider vitally important to establish before doing anything with the brotherhood (I mean the dungeons). The following tips are based on guilds with Websites. What? Don't you have yet? You do not know how? Take a look at our Guild Master's Guide: Create a Website. On our website we must leave the rules of our brotherhood in a well visible place so that everyone who enters can read them without much difficulty.

Guild Master's Guide: Part 2 - Create a Website

In the second part of this guild master's guide, I am going to explain how to create a website for our guild. Without a doubt it is something very useful since it is a "permanent" form of communication between the members of the brotherhood. You can be working and look at the brotherhood forum.

On my brotherhood's website every guide for each boss was posted (that's how GuiasWoW) and all members were "required" to read these guides before the bands so everything became much easier.

Headboard

In addition, it will serve as a support to establish our basic rules of the brotherhood. In this way, a new member will not have to wait for the officer or the guildmaster to enter to explain all the rules as they may be collected on our website.

After having browsed a lot between various guilds, there are several options available, although we are only going to discuss the simplest ones:

  • Brotherhoods with a forum
  • Brotherhoods with web
  • Brotherhoods with web + forum

I will explain a free method so that everyone can access and create their own website and maintain it. In fact, many brotherhoods have their website hosted on this service that I am going to detail as it encompasses the website and the forum.
