Race Cycle: Night Elves

The Kaldoreis (or Night Elves) are an ancient and lonely race born during the awakening of the World. Their ancestral heritage has marked them as a warrior race, with a strong love for nature and animistic practices. The Kaldoreis are practical but super-wise, and often paradigmatic. They are a people with an innate passion for spiritual practices and for nature itself. Long ago, the Kaldoreis were immortal. Because of the Quel'Dorei, the powerful elven magic was completely out of control, the Quel'dorei, believed superior to the Kaldoreis for the simple fact of controlling arcane magic. This careless use of magic may have attracted the gaze of the Burning Legion, ultimately leading to a catastrophic battle known as The War of the Ancients. This battle changed the face of Azeroth forever, and resulted in the creation of the continents of the world. The land was torn apart and a nexus of great power and energy was formed in the center of the ocean known as the Maelstrom. The Night Elves are an honorable and compassionate people, although their age and knowledge have made them disgraced and very proud. Many of the Night Elves consider it their duty to ensure the safety and balance of the world. Due to this air of superiority, many of the young races of Azeroth distrust the Night Elves.

Race Cycle: Humans

In this new installment of weekly lore I would like to start a series, «The Races series». Trying to explain as much as possible about the playable races of the World of Warcraft, starting with the Human race and bringing each week a different race alternating the factions.

Human

Humans (also known as "humanity"), is one of the native races that still survives with life. Most live in the Eastern Kingdoms, formerly known as "Azotha", they founded seven kingdoms that came together to fight together during the Second War. The native humans of Northrend were forced to live as slaves to the Magnataur Kingdoms in ancient history. Since the Third War, the kingdom of Stormwind has led Humans, and is a powerful member of the Alliance.

Humans are among one of the youngest races on Azeroth, but it is compensated by being the most numerous. With a shorter life expectancy compared to other races, humans strive throughout their lives to build great empires, exploration, and magical studies.

This curious aggressive nature has led humans to become one of the most active and influential races in the world. Humans value Virtue, Honor and Courage, although like all races they also try to achieve power and wealth. Humans have spent generations fighting the dark forces and have lost some of their great kingdoms to it.

Operation Gnomeregan

banner_operation_gnomeregan

The events that will occur shortly before Cataclysm for Gnomes and Trolls are currently in testing in the Public Realms. You already know that I am from the alliance so neither short nor similar I took a walk to see what was cooked by Gnomeregan.

What am I talking about? The gnomes are preparing on a mission to reclaim the Gnomeregan home that Mechaengineer Thermoplug took from them. Before all this, Blizzard gave some information that you can find in these two articles.

Having said all this, I am going to tell you about the… * wait for it * ¡Operation Gnomeregan!

Cataclysm: Preview on the Echo Isles

ss30_c Blizzard has disclosed part of the information that is reserved about the Echo Islands.

It seems that Vol'Jin's great mission is more important than originally thought. In addition to Zalazane, there appear to be certain political implications.

The new Trolls starting area seems to be for levels 1 to 5 and the precocious adventurers will be tasked with protecting the area's raptors (and their young) from the witchcraft of a sea witch, defeating those who annoy the tribe and raid the nagas who have invaded part of the island.

Also, just like the Gnomes, players will have the opportunity to help Vol'jin capture the area for the trolls!

You can see the rest behind the jump and, as always, you can find more information in the Blizzard Official Website on the Echo Isles.

Lost Isles and the New Goblin Race

http://www.wow-europe.com/cataclysm/_images/screenshots/ss14.jpgThe preconceived idea that any goblin would sell his best friend for a handful of gold is not entirely wrong - many of them would, and some even do.

The truth is, quite a few goblins combine a keen business sense with a certain level of… moral flexibility. For example, after the cataclysm awakened the volcano on his home island, one of the goblin merchant princes discovered that a lot of money was made by offering frightened goblins a passage to safety on his ship, taking all their savings and then selling them. Like slaves. A cunning plan, until this (and the ship) were shattered during a naval crossfire between an Alliance fleet and a lone Horde ship. The survivors of the shipwreck made landfall in the Lost Isles, off the coast of Kalimdor. There they will discover that the dense jungles of the island harbor many mysteries and more than one unpleasant surprise.

The Worgen

worgen_luna The Worgens, also known as FerocanisThey are quite large, human but with the appearance of a wolf and capable of walking upright, but when running they do so with all four legs and at great speed.

According to some sources, the Worgen are from another dimension and exist solely to terrorize and destroy.

These evil creatures enjoy being tortured and devouring intelligent creatures. They love to hear the screams of their victims as they tear their skin piece by piece. The Worgens never have regrets. They may seem wild, but also they are incredibly smart and they have a cruel cunning that can take you by surprise if you are not prepared.
Most of the Worgen remain in their wolf aspect at all times, but experiments conducted by the wizard Arugal have caused the Worgen to they can only turn into a wolf in the moonlight. They carry with them a curse of dark corruption that grows wherever they infect, biting their victims.

pandaren_training

The Pandaren

pandaren_training The enigmatics Pandaren They are one of the most elusive races on Azeroth. Pandaren come from the Pandaren Empire of Pandaria. They are humanoid pandas with a great love for nature and… beer.

The Pandaren are originally from the center of Kalimdor where they established the Pandaren empire. They were allies of the night elves until they saw how their obsession with magic it was out of control. The clans left Kalimdor, turning away from obsessive magic, and made a new home on an island they named Pandaria. After the Cataclysm, some Pandaren returned to the new Kalimdor to explore it. Once a mighty empire, the Pandaren settle for a safe and peaceful home. With the end of the Third War, the Pandaren have been encouraged to visit Kalimdor.

They are a breed of humanoid panda bears. The amiable appearance of these noble creatures should not be underestimated. They may be cute but they are not harmless. Pandaren have a long tradition of the art of war and are incredibly strong and agile. His traditional fighting style focuses on mobility, speed and precision, as well as forceful jumps and acrobatic movements. Many Pandaren only need the skill of their hands to fight an enemy.

Only the Pandaren know the ins and outs of their society but alcohol is known to be part of their culture. These creatures are excellent connoisseurs of beer and the strongest beverages, a relationship they have with the Ironforge Dwarves. There is a caste of nomadic warriors known as Master Brewers and they are highly respected in their culture.
